How much snow do YOU have?

Since my favorite thing to do is WHINE about the snow and we are in the midst of a Nor'easter here on the east coast I thought I'd check in to see who is getting snowed on.

We got 8 inches last night with another 8-10 expected today

How's the weather in Boston Ron?? One of my co-workers is up there today running in the Boston Marathon.

Did I mention I'm REALLY getting sick of winter?????????????

Here in the UK we have beautiful sunshine and lovely blue skies!!

It makes a HUGE change that we can actually brag about our weather!!! :D
No snow, thank Og. Blue skies and sunny today.
Pouring pitchforks.
We have been just above freezing and lots and lots of rain. Hate to think how much snow it would be. A week ago it was 80!! Had almost a 50 degree temp change in one day. That's Indiana for you.
My letter carrier is running his first Boston today too. Running in the cold and wet does not sound appealling.
I would have almost PREFERRED snow! It started raining very early Sunday morning, poured all through the day (so that we had water in the basement yet again! Spent a lot of yesterday afternoon pumping and shop-vac-ing the water out. ), then the high winds picked up overnight last night. Our front door blew open, set off our alarm at about 2:15. Finally got all that settled with the alarm company, went back to bed, and it happened AGAIN at 5:00! Figured I might as well stay up then, as I have to get up at 6:00 anyway.

Then we found out that our pool shed got blown over and is laying partially over the pool - haven't figured out how we're gonna get that thing upright again. Guess we have to recruit a bunch of neighborhood men to help.

I'm desparately trying to stay awake at my desk, having been awoken harshly twice during the night and getting only about 4 hours sleep. My brain is fried!!
Poor Chris!!!!
I feel bad for both of you Ginny and Chris.

I think we actually are beginning Spring again this week.....finally!
I just talked with my daughter in NY (near Newburgh) and she said it is just nasty rain and wind there.

We, on the other hand, are having our 3rd beautiful day in a row - and the best one yet. It is bright sunny and already over 50 degrees at 9:30am. Supposed to get to 70 today!!! Yipee!! And I have the day off. It is bath/grooming day, then dog school this evening, but still, I will have some time to get out and enjoy. :D :D :D
Well, Its been beautiful here. The sun is out, the skies are blue and the wind here has died down. Yesterday we had 40 mile an hour winds...but today is the perfect day!! Wish I wasnt here at work!
hholy smokes... that's a lot of snow. I've been begging for everyone's snow all winter even though Anchorage received record amounts, but I don't want any more. ...just a little more snow left before it's all melted. Starting to look pretty here.

I'm sure you'll understand even if you hate me, but....
keep the bad weather and rain down there because as soon as it gets better there, we seem to go through bad, rainy, or hot weather. Three things I don't want. Anything over 70 is too hot for me here!!!
This is what it looks like from the windows in my gym today...... at home (about 18 miles away) we actually have a little more snow

Oh, that is bad, Ginny. I am so sorry for you! :(
Yuck Ginny...

We've had snow almost every day still... it was snowing on and off last night and this morning and now it's a slushy kind of rain... yucky, cold and miserable.
I want spring!
On a brighter note, I just received EMAIL notification that my friend Chris completed the BM @ 1:42 in 3:33:28!!!!!!!!! WOOOOHOOOO Way to go Chris!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That's a great time for the Boston course, especially today. There was a huge headwind (they run from west to east towards the ocean, and ran right into the face of a Nor'easter!)

Was he running as a qualified entrant?
She, and YUP!!

Also received notification of the winners:

Robert Cheruiyot 2:14:13
Lidiya Grigoryea 2:29:13

I don't know how it's done but I have gotten emails on her time from the Marathon ALERT at each check point, when she started and when she finished. Each person could list two email addys for notification. The alerts arrived within minutes of her passing the check point.
Winter is currently "Faking us out" here, by pretending to be over...HA!
I'm not buying it!
Oh wow! She ran a qualifying time on the Boston course in bad conditions! Woo Hoo!

Congrats to her from oes.org when you see her.

She's my HERO!!

Chris is running a 100 mile race this summer, CAN YOU IMAGINE!!!!!!!!
Congrats to your friend Ginny. she is amazing! I wouldn't want to walk two steps in the weather out there today, let alone running a marathon! My hats off to all those participating for their determination! Hopefully they all finish safely!

For everyone else- hope things dry up and warm up soon for all of you! YUCKO!!!!
I see that we were not the only ones up last night. At 2:30 we heard a huge bang and the house shook. Another huge tree limb landed on our dog fence and missed the garage by inches!

This is the second time in 7 months that the fence got nailed and 3rd time in 3 years. I also said we would move after the third lightening strike. We are still here...... 6 events since '97.

I should change my "name" to "Hurricane"......

I am trying to convince my husband that we built our house on an ancient burial ground.
What's Snow :?:
Here in Germany it is hot like in summer ..... its not normal for April - but we like it very much :D
After Getting seven inches of wet heavy snow last week, I look outside and its all gone. So far today it was cloudy this morning but now SUN,SUN,SUN. If I can wade into my marsh of a back yard...I have to get the lawn mower out and cut the back grass, if I can hold my breath under water long enough. In WI you keep your snowblower and lawnmower in the garage at the same time!!!
