Isis in High Kill Animal Shelter - HELP
There is no info on the ad but I called the animal shelter and here is what I found: Isis is 7 years old She is owner surrender because she is not good with kids. The shelter also said she is not good with other dogs but they don't have record showing she has bitten anyone. I have put a hold on her since this is a high kill shelter. They couldnt tell me how much time Isis has. They said it is all depends on if they are running out of space and if Isis has behaviour problems...etc It is only two hours drive, I can take off early and drive there to pull her out but the biggest problem is my three dogs and three cats and Isis is not goo with other dogs. Anyone has any idea how to save this girl? Should I just go ahead and pull her out? But what next? Please help! Gigi |

I emailed OES RES of So Cal. The lady called me within 3 mins after I pressed "send"  I was impressed.
Anyway, she told me she has been working on this case for a while and there are also other people/groups involved in the rescue. This dog is not an OES but is more like a Beard Collie. She is black and white and weighs about 40 lbs. She has actually been in the shelter for more than a month. According to this lady I talked to, apparently the shelter has some reasons to keep her for so long without putting her up for adoption. Isis has till 4/18 before  ... but there are a lot of people working on it. So she should be fine.
It was so funny that she said when I called the shelter this morning, the same staff was actually on the phone with her talking about Isis. Gigi |
| Keep us posted. I hope things work out for her. It is funny that you were both talking to them at the same time. Maybe that is a good sign that she will be sprung. |
