Robotic Vacuume cleaner

Ok...odd question.

Has anyone here gotten one of those robotic, cleans-while-your-away vacuums? I think its called a Romba? I keep looking at them, and am very tempted, but my concern is....how will the dogs react to it?? 8O
could be very funny, or very catastrophic :lmt:

We were just talking about the romba last night. Someone at my husbands work has one and one night they went away for a few hours and when they returned it was horrible. Their dog got the runs and the romba spread it all over the carpet. 8O They had a huge mess and the romba went in the garbage.

OMG...not the catastrophe I was picturing...but, wow :twitch:
We talked about this a little while ago-- I think before you joined.

Here's the thread: http://forum.oes.org/viewtopic.php?t=6346
That wasn't what I pictured either... But YIKES!! nasty!! 8O 8O
I thought about one of them, yes wonderful come home and all the hair, dirt and dust vacuumed away while your out. Woo Hoo, but then I live with the stuffie terminator soooooooo, I would probably find it in a thousand pieces on the floor when I get home, more mess to pick up then. :?

If she can go after a singing santa sheepie, there is no hope for a robotic vacuum in this house.
I have one and LOVE it. But I use it when I am home. It vacuums one room while I clean a another and does a fine job I might add! However, I got it before I got the puppy and he is not so pleased with it so I either put him in the kitchen or crate when its working....
I had one of mechanical mice that was battery operated and I thought for a time it must be what living with a Romba would be like.

My boys were afraid of it but the cats went crazy and constantly tried to attack it. Guess it's not for me. Then again I'd hire studly house boy any time...oh bad me! tsk tsk
