Update on Dancer and Sky

Well, Dancer and Sky are both doing great. The crate training for both is working well, Dancer is doing much better, and Sky is doing great! Sky pees as soon as her feet touch the grass, and we've got her poop routine down pat now.
I'm going to start basic commands with Sky today, we'll start with sit. I have already done a little training when it comes to making sure the kids don't let her put her mouth on their skin unless it is for kisses, and not letting her put feet up on people. She learns quickly, if she starts mouthing (she doesn't nip, but occasionally comes across a finger that she seems to think is a good chew toy) we say "gentle Sky, kisses" and she immediately starts licking instead. For paws on people we say "off!' and she sort of gets it. It's hard to tell since she is still so little it doesn't look like jumping up, but that's what it leads to when they're bigger and I forgot about that with Dancer. Dancer is doing better about jumping on people too. She still gets excited and jumps on new people who come into the house, but she listens faster when I tell her off, and then sit.
Dancer is beginning to show some jealousy though, lol, when I tell her to go get her toys she will go get them but she won't leave them on the floor in front of me now, she wants to put it in my lap because that way Sky can't get it! Dancer and Sky have learned to play tug of war with each other, with a stuffed animal or a sock, and it is so cute and funny to see.
They make me laugh all the time.... At night Dancer sleeps on her bed on the floor beside my bed, and Sky's crate is beside that. They sleep well though, no fussing, bedtime is bedtime, except that Dancer likes to take Sky's bunny toy right through the bars....lol... and I have to give it back to Sky and convince Dancer that one of her many bears is just as good.
Hopefully soon they can start in obedience classes, I'm really looking forward to that, I think it will make a huge difference, and I love seeing them learn!
