When your OES looks like a schnauzer

It means Mom gave her a bad hair cut! Hannah no longer looks lke my sweet Hannah girl. She looks like a sweet schnauzer. I will get Margot to post pictures tomorrow. Hannah doesn't seem to mind her bad haircut. She hated getting it though. I had to put her on the washing machineto keep her still long enough to trim her. I got most of her body by myself. This evening Margot and I both had to work with her to get around her hind end and ears. She hates for us to mess with her face hence the schnauzer look.
We think she looks kinda cute in a rough way. Pictures to follow.
Maybe we can update the avatar while we are at it.

She won't be the 1st one to end up looking like a schnauzer!
Even the professional groomers do it. :(

Eagerly awaiting pictures. :D
lol, how ironic. On Harley and my walk today, some lady stopped at a light, and yelled out her window, "OMG, is that a giant schnauzer?!?!"

Poor Harley seemed offended. :) I really don't know how on earth she thought he was a schnauzer-- his hair is maybe 1.5-2 inches long from a recent summer do, and he totally doesnt' have the schnauzer bone structure. After she asked that, I googled a few pictures of that breed-- what was the lady thinking?
Ha ha this made me laugh !!!! ollie got his fur all shaved off the other week and I said to my husband, where's my fluffy boy ? Ollie looks like a Giant Shnauzer lol lol
Makes one wonder what a schnauzer would look like with long hair??

sheepies boss with two "hairy schnauzers" just waiting for warmer weather to become tailess greyhounds.
Can't wait to see pics!
The last time we took Bailey to a professional groomer, she scalped him down to the skin but left this clump of hair over his eyes because "OES have weak eyes and that's why they need to have them covered". What? Anyway, Tim started calling him the Scnauzer, I thought he looked like Frankenstein. Never went back to her again!
Ahhhhhhhh, the schnauzer....... I think all of us have experienced it with our OES at one time or another. I had a groomer that "schnauzered" the top of Quincy's head once, and ran the clippers down the top of his nose, but left the rest of his beard. 8O I had to use sunscreen on the poor dog's snout, as his skin there was pink, and it was July! Poor Quincy really looked goofy.

And then, there's what we like to call "The Little Dutch Boy", when the groomer trims the bottom of the ears way too high on the head. It's a proportional thing!

I love Oscar's groomer. She is so good to him and he always looks the same. I told her she is not allowed to retire! Ever!
Speaking of OES looking like other dog breeds, I had someone ask me if Oscar was a.......are you ready for this???? A Golden Doodle! Seriously!! There isn't a golden hair on his entire body! I cracked up.

He always gets mistaken for a poodle though. 8O HUH?????
With Simon now in a short cut, I'm always asked "What kind of dog is that"
