I am such a chicken!

Well, D-day has finally loomed. After nearly three years, I've finally agreed to meet my boyfriend's parents and I'm sooo nervous!

He's an only child and there is a bit of an age gap which is what's making me nervous. I've agreed to go (been putting it off for ages) on the grounds that Blue can come with me. His mother is a major animal-lover and has seen so many pictures of Blue that she's dying to meet her.

Should break the ice.

*Gulp*

She's gotta be nice then! Can you imagine having to meet her knowing she hated animals. I'd have to find another boyfriend if that were the case!

I hope all goes well!

Helen,

Everything will be fine, I bet his Mom will welcome you and Blue into her home. I was worried meeting my husbands family as well, he is an only child same as me. His family is divorced so I had to do meet his family twice, but then again so did he. He didn't meet my Mom until after we were married. We met and were married 3 1/2 months later. Then was pregnant with our 1st, a little less than 2 months later. We will celebrate our 8th wedding anniversary in 2 months. It all worked out and our families all get along and get together several times a year.
It is funny, but we waited longer to find the right breed of dog and cat than we did to get married. LOL
I hope everything goes well for you. Best wishes, Stormi and co.
Well, tomorrow is the big day.

One more sleep...
Don't worry! My husband and I also have an age difference, and "meeting the parents" was fine! Is he the one that is older then you? :D
He's older, Marley. Not even by a whole lot- I'm 21, he's 28. Was worse when he was 26 and I was 19.

I invested in a bottle of Rescue Remedy for myself. Think I've overdone it though. My tongue has gone numb.
LOL I agree with the fact that if the mom is an animal lover, she's probably ok! Plus, all parents want to see their children happy, and he is happy with you. The age difference is not bad at all. Its nothing. I think Blue will really be an ice breaker as you said. Just be yourself, and make sure that you praise them for raising such a great son! LOL Keep us posted! Don't overdo it with the rescue remedy! You want to be able to use your tongue to have an articulate and legible converstion! LOL Have fun!

Tongue numb....
I'm serious!!!!!!
Ha ha hah! Tho you thould thake leth of ith. Sorry, couldn't help myself! LOL
ROTFLMAO!!!
Yeth, you thould be ore careful how much thtuff you thake.

So Helen...How'd it go? Was Blue a big hit with the folks?

It went very well. Feel silly now for being so nervous. Afterall, if they raised such a great son, they'd have to be pretty cool.

Blue was a BIG hit. She was perfect in every Sheepie way. Did all her little tricks, sucked right up to the Mom by immediately going up to her and giving the paw.

That dog is a life-saver!!
(And Rescue Remedy ain't half bad either!!)
Yeah, Helen! Don't keep is waiting! :)
Ith you tongue thill numb?
Glad to hear it went well!
Awww, that is great! Gooooooo Blue!! and Helen of course! So, are you offically welcomed into the family? WIll be invited to BBQs, and such? LOL
