How exciting! 
Where did you find information on places to have her herding instincts tested, and at what age is a good idea to do the test for the first time? |
well I heard about it by word of mouth. I had Laika at a new daycare and the lady told me about it. But when I googled I found the information. I googled for you...

Blue Rocks not far from where I work actually. Very close to Lunenburg. About a hour for you.

If you find out the information you need, let me know! I have always wanted to do that with the pooches, but only knew of a place by Kingston... Welland is not far at all! Maybe we can go together! |

Have fun, it is great to get into. We actually had a failed sheepie boy here, no instinct there a real mommas boy. He was peppas brother and so funny on the testing day, the sheep went Baah and he hid behind his moms legs and refused to move from there.  Andy had the whole group in stiches, his nickname after that was Andy Pandy.

| Hmmmmm. Welland is a one day clinic, and in Alliston , in May, they are doing Instinct testing.
Just sending out feelers to see if anyone would be interested in the first week of May, having their OES tested for herding instinct...in Baxter, near Alliston...That is just south west of Barrie. It is May 6th...$35 a dog...Must be at least 6 months old That is not a good time for Steph and Barkley....but if anyone else would like to go let me know....Bosley and Dixie may be getting their first taste of sheep poop! |
| I could send anyone who wants one a baggie of sheep poop!
That way you could practice with it before the event. Seriously - you can always tell the dogs who are new to sheep - they eat poop before they chase the sheep! |
