little theif

Ok. do other sheepies steal stuff? And then run? Mopsey has developed a taste for kitchen dish towels! Now that she is bigger she is discovering that she can reach things which were too high to get just a few weeks ago. Here is how it usually goes:
Comes in the kitchen... looks around to see if anyone is watching. Slowly walks up to the dish towel hooks.... Sloooooowly reaches for the dish towel, turns around sees me watching, grabs the towel and ruuuuuuuns!!!!
She preffers the WET ones after I am done drying the dishes. LOL Same goes for napkins, tissues, and any kind of paper she can get her little paws on. Had to replace all of my trashcans with those that have lids. :? She would steal the all the papers out of them and shread them all over the house. Little bugger! :D

Sydney is a big fan of dirty dish towels - she steals them and then proceeds to roll herself all over them!

They are soo funny and so hard to get mad at. I mean, I know she is playing and doing it on purpose to get chased! So cute, and so naughty!

I've never met a sheepie who WASN'T a thief!
Dancer is the worst I've seen for it, she steals stuff and runs all the time, and I swear she thinks it is fun! If dogs could laugh she'd be giggling all the time I think. Sky is starting thieving young though, she's so bold for a puppy! Within an hour of her being here Dancer taught her the stealing laundry trick and they were both dragging stuff all over the house!
LOL Oh gosh, how could i have forgotten to mention the laundry!!!! Mopsey does the same thing! I forget to put it away, and when I wake up the next morning, there are sock, towels, and other, khmmmm, unmentionables all over my house!
It's not so bad that they steal the stuff. The worst part is that you can see them thinking about it and checking to see if anyone is watching and when they are sneaking around you know that they know they are doing something bad!
haha yes- i know that look of mischief all too well.

walter used to steal my homework all the time, it would drive me absolutely crazy... but it was the cutest thing in the world so i couldnt punish him without laughing!
LOL Talking about "My dog ate my home work" excuse! Did your teachers believe you, or did you have to get a note from your mom confirming the story? Now she is up to stealing and chewing on our small rugs! Rugrat! LOL My husband is buying a dog door so that she can go outside when she wants to do her business. Has nothing to do with the tipic, just thought I'd mention it. I can't wait! He he he
My Penelope was a HUGE thief, everything from socks out of the laundry basket to towels off of the towel bars, she loved to steal the soap from the bathroom, we had to put it up high becuse she would eat it and then be awfully burpy the rest of the night (it was 'all natural' - vet thought it was stupid, but not life threatening) She stole shoes every chance she got, she also stole the baby's toys and hoarded them under the bed, but my favorite was the hair accessory problem.

If I wore a ribbon, a ponytail holder, a barrette, or a headband, this dog would be on a mission, she would sneak up on me (only when I was on the floor or near her level) and she would 'bite' the item (gently) off my head and then run for it! I would eventually get my headband with teeth marks, or my soggy ribbon back after she tired of the game, I don't know where she got that one from, but she did it until the day she died. My new puppy has done it once or twice too, but she doesn't run through the house with it like it's a trophy. It was definitely a Penelope trick.

Up.
I love the name Penelope! How funny! I guess they are all little theives! I am trying to think of a formal name for Mopsey. Something we can register her with. I will have to pull a Willowspite and post a plea for help on that one. But for now she is Mopsey Bo Peep.
OH MY GOSH! Sheepy is very sneaky in his old age. When he was in the house he would sneak up the stairs and right into my parents bathroom and steal their washcloth. Id be sitting downstairs and I would hear scratching on the tile and I knew exactly who it was. Id go upstairs and there he would be in the hallway rolling around on the wet washcloth. Then I would drag him downstairs or try to..he would stop at the top and just bark down like"Heath come carry mee" but he weighs just alittle less then I do so that was impossible. With alittle coaxing I would get him down the steps and he would go and run and lay in the front room like he never did anything..Such a pip he is..now that his arthritis is bothering him he doesnt go upstairs anymore cause he gets stuck on the steps so when hes inside the first thing he does is run to the laundry baskets and rub up against them if there is a washcloth in there....hes quite the comedian..
