I am going to be getting a pin brush for my pup. Other threads say get a pin brush without the pins on the ends. So does the brush look the same. And is there a certain name to be looking for? And what other brushs are good. |

Hi ej, there is a few pin brushes recomended on the forum, if you google pin brush it will bring up a lot a topics on them.
Hindes, #1All systems, Chris Christenson, seem to be most popular types listed.
What they mean by not buying one with pin heads on the ends, means no little round ball and the end of the metal Pin. Just the straight pin with nothing on the end of it.
I use hindes on my sheepies. |
I like the pin brushes lisaoes mentioned also, I would also recommend a good combination comb, one end wide toothed and one end a bit finer, metal.
Those are more useful for coming out the ears, feet, and bum if there are any hangers-on. |
I think I called every pet shop in town looking for a brush with no balls on the end. I even called several grooming shops. No luck. I had to order online.
I use the Chris Christensen brushes. I love the brush part. The pins are ground on the end so they are nice and smooth. But, the handle is wooden and not the most comfortable. |
| I just ordered this brush: #1 All Systems Ultimate Pin Brush and I LOVE it. It works really well on Bingley's coat and is lightweight. |
