But in the meantime.... Some people have success opening the door to the car, and offering the dog a ride (in whatever phraseology you usually use...) As far as the training goes, I've read about it using a long lead and treats. The long lead is used to pull the dog to you after issuing the "COME" command. Not coming is NOT an option. Food reward is given for coming. I'm not a trainer, and this is only an outline of the technique. I'm sure someone here will be able to help you out, but if not, there's always the OES-L.
