Duchess is getting spayed!!!

Hey guys!!
I know it's been a LOOOOONG time since I have been here... and I have been missing you all so very much! I'm sorry for being so out of touch! School has been keeping me very busy. But enough about all of that...

Duchess is getting spayed tomorrow (Tuesday, March 13), and I am freaking out. I know, I know... she will be very well taken care of. This is the same Vet she has been going to since I got her, and this vet has also done surgery on two of my cats who are just fine. But I have been having bad dreams about Duchess and her upcoming surgery. I know, it's probably just an overactive imagination, but I can't help it. Just thinking about something going awry makes my eyes water!! I don't know why I am so scared this time. I have three kitties and they have all been spayed, but I have never felt this way before.

Anyhow... just needed to talk to some people who understand. So, here I am. I hope everyone is doing well. Thanks for listening!!

Andrea

:ghug: Andrea... all will go well.

Drop in again if you need to chat.
:hearts: Best wishes to Duchess and her surgery. Our Maggie just got spayed, and we were the same way! Everything turned out fine, she never even licked her stitches. :D Big hug to you guys!
Hi,

Welcome back!!

Just wanted to offer my good wishes as well to both yourself and Duchess. We can all relate to how you feel when one of the furkids has to go for spay/neuter. My boys are sending sloppy sheepie kisses to Dutchess and hugs for her mom.

Awww....it's okay...it's natural to be nervous when your baby is undergoing surgery. But you know her vet well and trust them to take good care of your girl. She'll come through it just fine and in a few days it will be like nothing happened at all.
Andrea,

:ghug:

It's okay to be nervous, but just remember this is all for her benefit. Let us know how it goes.

Katie
Thanks guys!!

I just talked to the Vet, and we will be dropping her off around 8am (EDT). I'll keep everyone posted!!
oops! that was me (above) forgot to sign in I guess.
Duchess is sending :ghug: to Duchess and to tell her she will soon be going through the same thing :D
Best wishes to Duchess for a quick recovery!
Hope all goes well tomorrow. I was a worrier over Miley's spay as well. I don't think you can love as much as you do and not worry even when they are in the best of care.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery

Hi all!
Just wanted to update everyone!! Thanks for all the well wishes!!

Duchess came home this evening. We picked her up around 4pm, and we had a VERY long drive home. She was SOOOOOOOO good in the car!! I gave her some water, and she didn't even get sick.... until we got home!! LOL My husband let her drink too much water when we got home... oops!! But she is doing fine now, and drinking water regularly. She is walking around carefully, and we even took our bed off of the frame and put it onto the floor so she could get in bed with us if she wants to.
So far so good!!
Thanks again all!! :cheer:
Great news!

lol That is one spoiled Sheepie! :D
Glad to hear she is doing well.
What great sheepie parents. Glad to hear we aren't the only ones that do things like that and glad to hear she did well.
Glad it all went well, give your darling spoilt baby a gentle sheepie cuddle from all of us. :D
I seem to recall Ginny and Doug sleeping on the floor for Ty's sake.

Yay Duchess!
Glad to hear everything went well. I certainly understand your concern....aw...our babies really stretch our heartstrings.

Hope she's taking it easy...well as easy as a busy sheepie girl ever does. Dawnie send her gentle kisses and tells her that she will do extra four paw jumps just for her (so she doesn't have to do them).
Great news , glad all went well :D
Go Duchess, Here's for a continued healthy recovery! :high5: :go:  :ghug:
Wow- I thought getting the 15.99 a pound cheese for Max was special.

You win parents of the Year !!! Glad all is well.
Hey everyone!

Just wanted to update on how Duchess is doing. She is doing quite well, actually. She finally started eating her regular food a couple of days ago (albeit I had to pour GRAVY all over it before she would touch it!!) and is now eating regularly. She has been very good about trying not to lick at the incision, although she still needs to be reminded every once in a while...lol.

Other than that, she is doing great!! I am sure she will be even better once she is allowed to have a bath... well, at least I'll be happier... she's a little stinky from the anesthesia.

Hope all is well with your furry babies!!
