I'm playing HOOKEY this afternoon :-)

Late yesterday my two end of the day appointments both cancelled. Rather than scramble to fill those appointments I CLOSED my schedule and decided to play hookey from work this afternoon.

But the BEST part is there is a sale a a local yarn shop that starts today. So, I told Doug I needed to drive today (I told him I was going home early to get a jump start on the laundry  ) but I'm REALLY going to hit the yarn store on my way. THIS WAY, I'll get home before him and I can stash my purchases before he get's there and he won't know I've spent yet MORE money on yarn

I'm so excited

lol....youre sneaky Ginny....

have fun!!
I like your style. :)

I stash it all in the diaper bag normally
Good thinking Ginny! Sounds like fun.
I read this as hockey at first. I need new glasses.

I bought some yarn last Friday. I wish it had been on sale, but it is what the daughter wanted.
I am working on winter scarves for the daughter - actually it's practice so I wil be ready to knit and crochet for the future grandkids. they are a couple of years in the future, but I am a slow laerner.
LOL Sounds like fun, enjoy! :)
 That is great! Sounds just like me! But then my husband looks at the bank statments.... 8O

HEHEHEH, Doug and I have SEPERATE accounts in DIFFERENT banks. I highly recommmend that approach to household fiscal management. We each assume responsibility for certain bills and the rest is our own business. Doesn't work for everyone but works quite well for us. I never question what he does with his excess and he doesn't question me......usually
or you just pay cash...no paper trail...and the trunk is the perfect hiding spot
Good for you Ginny! My mom and sister always hide things at the back of the closet. On the floor. Under stuff.
I'm home, had a ball. Yarn is safely stashed  , signed up for a sweater class in April at the store and got a BUNCH of yarn  . Picked up the last few skeins I needed to finish an afghan I'm making for the NEW COUCH :excited: .

Even got home in time to do a couple loads of laundry
Clever girl.

Hey what about a new sweater for Ty,with all that yarn? Been awhile since we have seen your doggie creations in knitting that cute one you did for him.

Brie wants a giant Pink Version of the Ty one.
I've always threatened to knit TASKER a sweater, which makes DOUG crazy
Ha Ha ha then tasker needs one and don't forget a giant man bow to go with it. 8)
Actually, I did get a lovely gray tweed yarn and a book with 16 different dog sweater patterns in it!!!!!!
Cool - I was out today, too. Isn't it nice?!
