Weather in England and Scotland in April?

I'm going to be in London for a few days and then Scotland for a few days in early April and was wondering what the weather might be like at that time. Could any of the lovely UK people help me out?

I'm also going to France, where it'll be warmer, so I'm trying to figure out what to pack so I'll be warm enough, but not pack too much... :D

Ooh, how fun! Will hubby be tagging along too?
I'm so jealous!!! I can't wait to go... hopefully next summer :)

I've heard the best weather over there is in June?
Yep! We're going with his parents and brother and it'll be a pretty great trip. London, Edinburgh, Paris, Nice...looking forward to it. I've only been to London before, so I'm excited!
Oh Wow!! That sounds like a wonderful trip!! Such lovely cities - and in the spring, too, so everything is in bloom. Lucky :D you!! 8)

Of course, we'll need to see all the pictures when you return.
normal spring clothes.. nothing too light nor heavey.. make sure you take yourself a light yet warm jacket and also take a mini umbrella..

Spring in the UK is absolutly fabulous.. but if you plan on speanding nights out (which anyone visiting should absolutly do) make sure to take a warm jacket.. can get abit chilly on spring nights..

also take a comfy pair of walking shoes.. and i stress this.. comfy.. ones you could walk miles in.. cause you prolly will =)

there wont be too much of a temp difference between those places.. except Scotland.. where it will more than likely be a few degrees cooler..

i miss home =/
so jealous!!! :D

I'll watch Barney!!!!!!!!!!
Fun! I went to London when I was a teenage, and had a blast! We went in late June, and it was still chilly and wet, so definitely pack some clothes for cooler, wet weather!Same with Paris! I didn't get to the hot weather until we reached Italy. Enjoy yourself, and try to squeeze in some of the city's walking tours. In London, the Jack the Ripper tour was great, if a little scary, and the boat trip up the Seine in Paris (Gosh I hope that's the right name, I'm really bad at French names!) at night is simply breathtaking!
drip drip drop little april showers!!!!

its not cold at the mo will be quite plesant in april but i would bring a lightweight rain mack or at the very least an umbrella

hope you have a blast

and a warm and hopefully dry (our weather is really unpredictable)
welcome to the other side of the pond

zoe and einy
It sure is drip drip drop little April showers - OK so its March lol The weather is a bit unpredictable - yesterday it was 15 deg, but with cold wind, today i can't see 100ft infront of me for fog !!!! I'd pack a few lightweight jumpers, a spring/summer jacket, add the odd scarf just incase its chilly. But you will get those wonderful mornings where the sky is just blue and sunny, but cold - lovely to go walking the dog.

You will have a fabulous time - are you getting the Eurostar to Paris ? c'est magnifique !
