Dogs and Catnip

I searched the forum and didn't find any warnings about catnip and dogs which I hope is a good thing. I was just curious if I should be preventing Finnegan from getting into it. He has discovered a couple of the cat toys and really likes them.

According to Cornell Univ, let him sniff away.

All of my Sheep's have prefered the cat toys. No harm done in the past 20 years.
Our dogs always steal (and destroy) our cats' catnip toys. And they just fine, goofy, but fine.
That is what I figured thanks for the confirmation.
Apparently it won't do much to humans either. A friend of mine kept fresh catnip in the fridge. Another friend of hers came over and made a sandwich while the other friend was doing something in the other room. The guy said to her "Your hippy spinach tastes funny." She was like. "What? I don't even have spinach." Turned out he had made himself a turkey and catnip on rye. ;)
