OES and Beardies

I have an odd question - does anyone know of any issues with OES and Beardies? My female has some dog agression issues and we have been working with a behaviorist who is also my agility trainer. Marley has made great strides until about three weeks ago when we started a new class and there was a beardie in the class. I actually had to remove Marley from the room the first weeek (good thing Morgan was waiting in the car as a spare :D )
Last week was no problem - the beardie was absent and Marley was great. This week Molly, the Beardie, was back and Marley almost got sent out again - I kept her under control and corrected her each time she started up.
My trainer asked if there was any history with Marley with a Beardie - none that I know of and I got her at 9 weeks, or with the breeds

She is way over the top with her reaction to this dog and she performed horribly in class because she was so preoccupied with her.

I don't have any advice about sheepies and beardies mixing, but I do have a question for you. I have a dog aggressive sheepie as well and I just wanted to know what kind of training you are doing to help that?
I don' think it has anything to do with the particular breeds disliking each other as there is forum members that have both breeds.

Maybe Marley has just taken a dislike to this one maybe sensing a dominant girl as well.

If two bitches don't like each other, well it gets quite bitchy then, regardless of what breed they are.

Just keep working on it in class and I am sure Marley will settle soon for you, the only thing is I would of not taken her out of the class when she is behaving like this or she will not learn not to behave in such a manner, just would of persisted there with keeping her under a tighter control and not let her win by removing her from the class. Eventually, with a bit of work, it should settle there with no fuss when the beardie is around.
I agree with Lisa. It sounds like they just don't like each other. Bear has 2 mortal enemies at the dog park that hate him for no reason. Both are about 15-20 pounds and attack Bear. Some dogs just have a death wish...

Her trainer is a dog behaviorist and we work on reinforcing that certain behavior is unacceptable. I have switched to a head collar (she hates it) but allows us to reinforce unacceptable behavior is unacceptable. I do a lot of down stays in class with her when she is misbehaving.

The trainer says if we make it clear to her that certain behavior is unacceptable she will avoid it - eventually.

She still barks and lunges at certain dogs when we walk, but there is a hesitancy about it. She is worse with other females. She also is primarily this way when on lead. When she is off lead for her runs - usually -- she totally ignores all the other dogs. I stopped taking her to dog park though because she was too unpredictable. I'd like to be able to take her back - that is one of my goals for her.

She was so funny the day I took her out of class. WHen I went back to the car at the end of class she was so contrite! Sat in the corner with her head down. As soon as I got in and told her she was a bad dog and I didn't want to hear a peep out of her she laid down for the whole ride home. She didn't even look at Morgan for fear of being perceived as challenging him. SHe hates to be told she is a bad dog (I only uise that one on rare occassions like when she ate my favorite shoes!)
We have a recently adopted 11 year old Beardie, and Fiona, our 10 month old OES just adores him. Females can be very bitchy, as my last Sheltie female was...particularly with other females. Every dog is different, but then again, Fiona loves everybody and everything!
