Oh no! And he is such a handsome boy posing for his portrait like he has no idea what is in store. :( Please someone save him!!
The listing says he is a mix but he looks pure. Mixed with beard collie maybe?
Any news on him? :(
i know this is probably of very little help but ill put it out there just in case...

if someone (or some rescue) can pull this guy and make sure he is good with other dogs my rescue will take him. we will also pay whatever the fee is to get him out (assuming that means he will be full vetted). we will also need help with transportation.

sorry if that is of no help :(
Since we're four hours away from this shelter we asked a member of the local PAAWS group to check him out. They are trying to help us with short-term foster and according to them he has until March 11th to be claimed.

We have two other OES in that area that are being surrendered by their owners so we we may be able to arrange transportation for all three dogs. Waiting to hear from potential homes and foster families now. Will keep everyone posted.

Thanks!

Nita
He's not posted any more...
Is that good news?
I just contacted the shelter and he is still there. They must hold him until March 11th to be claimed by the owner (like that's gonna happen ) before putting him up for adoption or releasing to Rescue.

Our friends from PAAWS will continue checking up on this little guy and are to let us know if he has any obvious health or temperament issues. There has also been some interest in him from individuals from the Petfinder listing.

We've worked with this shelter once before and they are very cooperative. As soon as he's available, we can get him out.
Good news -thanks. :D
Wonderful update!
We drove to the Evansville shelter yesterday to pick up this boy. The dog they brought from the kennel was very small and looked to be a beardie/wheaten terrier mix... Definitely not the dog in the photograph and definitely not OES :-(

And "he" was actually a "she"! She also turned out to be a biter and HW+ so we had to leave her. I'm just sick wondering what happened to the boy on Petfinder and still trying to find out. We really worked on this and hope that by some miracle he may have been adopted.
  for both those dogs.
That shelter needs new management!
Oh goodness, Nita. What a difficult and sad situation. :(
Oh, Nita...
I'm so sorry. :(
