huffing, puffing and stomping of feet

My Jack tends to like to see where the limits are (since we're still training him), he will run up to my mom and dad, sniff them, lick them, then slowly try to teethe on them, (we know its just testing and he'll learn, so we don't mind.) when we tell him no, he stops immediately. he then stomps over to his favorite place in the house, the harth by the fireplace, and sits there huffing and puffing like he's throwing a tantrum.

this cracks my whole family up. we can tell he is intentionally stomping, like an angry 2 yr old child.

i wonder if anyone else has encountered this, and would care to share some funny stories

PS-this is not a problem behavior, nor is the testing of his limits, i think both actions are cute, and they have been slowing down lately,

Dancer does something similar. If she is trying to get attention she will act like she is chewing the arm of the couch, but not really doing any damage.
She looks right at us when she does this, and when I say Dancer NO! she bounces a bit and talks back. She makes her sheepie "wooorooooooroooroo" in a saucy almost growling voice.
all sheepdogs do the half howl/half yawn "woooroo?" i thought it was a jack-unique thing.

its so cute isnt it? even though it's usually "leave me alone" i think its so cute.
Ed, I thought you were describing my 4 year old son. LOL He and Jack sound just alike. Annabelle will talk back to us a lot. If you talk to her in a high pitch tone, she will talk back to you. It is really cute. She will put her rear in the air and stare at us and we can ignore her and look at her and it is like a remote for her to wiggle her rear end. After awhile she gets so excited that we are playing a game similar to peek a boo, she will bounce around and talk more. It is so cute. We have been trying to teach her say I love you, and it IS getting closer, but not yet. LOL Jack just looks at us, closes his mouth and cocks his head to one side as if he is trying to figure us out. They both talk during yawns. They are downright loud mouths when it comes to yawns.
Stacey, the way you describe Dancer talking, reminds me of The Fox and the Hound's copper. "I'm a hound dog, AWOOOROOOWOOO." LOL
Stormi and co.
I love that movie Stormi, lol, little Copper and Todd... what a sweet movie.
This is too funny.Jack is doing what Kali does.Kali also makes a grumbling sound, when she goes to sit down after being told no,like she is saying OK you win,but I do have a voice.Their antics and personalities are so human like.I like to say I have my children and I also have my furkids.Keep the funny antics coming.
The stomping and 'harumphing'!

If I don't throw the frisbee fast enough after it's been returned, Chelsea does a one-two stomp with her front paws and harumphs. If she is worked up enough she harumphs twice and that usually leads to a sneeze or two!

Up.
Tht is too funny! Who has who trained?
Haha..thats so funny. We went for soo long thinking that noise was Sheepy unique and apparently thats not true lol. My mom always says that Sheepy has gotten vocal in his old age. When he was younger he really didnt cry alot or anything but now that hes older the "Wooorooo" noise comes out when were eating, while were watching tv, or if he isnt getting attention payed to him. He is like a little kid. He too answers when you talk to him. Its really funny. Now his wooorooo's are usually followed by a yacking noise after words. We think it has something to do with his throat since hes soo old but we still love our Vocal little baby lol..
