Update on Little Man - The Chihuahua
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v613/ ... uahua5.jpg I immediately knew I had to help and offered to take him. I had him here for 6 days and found a Chihuahua rescue to take him. I have been waiting and waiting and waiting for Little Man to be listed on petfinder.com I had been told once they put a little bit of weight on him they would neuter him and put him up for adoption. Well I turned him into this rescue on Dec 2nd so I figured he should be on by now. So I contacted the rescue to see what was up. I got a e-mail back this evening with a full update Quote: Hello,
We never had him on the website as we gave him to a lady that has several disabled chihuahuas and lives up in the state of Washington. She had a volunteer drive down here and picked him up and they drove back to Washington and he is doing just great!!! He is such a great little dog and we kept his name Little Man!!! We loved having him with us and now he is with another family that adores him!! So thank you for saving him and know that he is happy with a new family. Thanks! Kathleen I am so happy to get such a wonderful update. It totally made my night!  |

Thanks Everyone! (Especially Marianne, who had a special place in her heart for Little Man.) I am so thrilled that he has a great home. Actually I think the person that adopted him found out about him through me and the numerous posts I made about him on different Chihuahua boards. 
The woman at Southern California Chihuahua rescue (not the rescue that took him as they didn't have an foster homes available) had mentioned something about a friend in Washington that took in older dogs. But there were no plans for her to come down to CA anytime soon. I wonder if it's the same person.

That's a fantastic update. So glad he found a good home. LMAO...nope no dentures.  Actually the woman at the rescue said that most of the toothless dogs she has had have not had any problems eating dry food. I am sure in his new home he is eating canned though. |
