Mostly just filthy. Poor thing.
Ditto, poor baby, hope someone adopts him, he sounds like a real sweetie.
That's a sheepie nose not a poodle nose at all, but it is a poodle coat so maybe a mix between the two?
^^^

I'm guessing a mix of the both too. Coat is NOT all oes to me, but I recognize that face!
That coat is definitely Poodle! I am going to say a OES/Poodle Mix.
Looks like an OES except for the coat...so probably a mix...unless he is really filthy. No matter what...he is definitely a cutie!!
Anyone looking for a sweet dog like this one?
OES head for sure. Coat looks filthy and also like it could be OES, but one that was clipped before the dog was on his own.

I always want to adopt the dogs I see on this thread. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it) I am full up with dogs.
Oh my God! I LOVE him.
Have many of you ever seen a dog, and just thought,
boy I would love to give him a home?

Something about him really struck me, hard. My mind is
running a million miles an hour, trying to figure a way
for this guy.

I just love him

Looks like a mix to me. I wonder what his coat is like- OES or
other? I could maybe fit one more into my grooming....

Shellie
  Oh yes, I know the feeling! :D
Shellie I know EXACTLY how you feel...that is why we now have Faith....the Wheaten/Sheepie!
I have really been trying to get this guy off my mind.
Anyone know if they adopt out of state? I hate to work
myself up to make the call only to have my hopes smashed.
I guess I will have to anyway, I can't stop thinking about him.

Shellie
Go for it, Shellie!

I was struck by him too. He sounds like a wonderful, sweet boy.

I think he looks 100% OES, clipped not too long ago. I think his hair looks curly like that from all the dirt/tangling/matting. A good bath and brushing and he'll glow again.
I think he or she looks like a Labordoodle or maybe a Goldendoodle (havne't met too many Labordoodles but have seen quite a food Goldendoodle's at the park and they are wonderful dogs.)

Go for it - i'm sure you'll feel great about doing such a good deed.

I love him! My sister's OES rescue had never been indoors, she was always left outside. She was a mess - never groomed, wasn't spayed, no human contact. We rescued her at 9 months - 6 years later she is has offered nothing but joy - she is certainly a member of the family. I have faith this guy will find the best home -
FOLKS - This is a purebred filthy malnourshied sheepie! The shelter that has him sent me an email. This is the same shelter we got Sam from. They are definitely willing to work with OES Rescue to get him.

The head of the shelter said that he is horribly dirty and very underfed but is definitely all sheepie and is a total sweetheart around other dogs. If Sam is anything to go by - someone has got to take this dog before I do the unthinkable and drive another 24 hr round trip and pick up another one.

I am emailing Ingrid regarding him. This shelter is very small but they are the greatest group of people and I still keep in close contact with them regarding Sam and their dogs.
If someone out there can pull and foster we, the South East rescue, will help.
This is a pure OES, when they get really filthy the hair turns curly.
When I got my Sara Catherine her hair was just as curly as a Poodle and once I cleaned her up and her hair grew, it came in straight.
I have a rescue right now, Blue, he came in very curly, well he got groomed yesterday and came home with wavy hair, his coat needs to grow a lot more and will go straight.
Anyone out there, we just don't have any foster homes in MO
What happened with this boy? Any luck in getting someone to spring him?

Marianne.
I was gonna say having had the poodle/OES this one doesn't quite match....I felt this was a dirty pure OES.

I was also gonna say Remy gets quite curly looking when her coat is a mess....it cords.
Does anyone know what the status is on this boy????
