8 yr old Female, Oakland, CA

This ad was on petfinder.com.
I contacted Liz (the owner) and told her to contact the OES Rescue person for her area, Pam Henry.
She had alreadfy contacted her and was told that they wouldn't take her because of her age. Can anyone help Daisy?

Is she still on petfinder? I couldn't find the listing.
She in the classified section Val, under California.
Oh! I never knew there was a separate classifieds section.
They wouldn't take her because of her age? That sounds strange to me

Heather,
It doesn't sound strange to me, at least for around here. I am not a big fan of the OES rescue organization here in California. They would rather take younger dogs as they have better chances of adoption.
I don't see the classified ad?
I think it expired because it was posted 1/23 and but the current list only goes back as far as 1/24. There are currently 3 listings for OES in West Virginia, Illinois, and Wisconsin.
Yes, I believe the listing expired last night, but the dog is still available.

That is a bummer... but I guess they are probably shorthanded. I hope someone can help her :(
Poor girl :( I have an 8 y/o Daisy and it would break my heart if nobody wanted her

I think adopting an older dog is kindly and heartfelt. An older dog needs a home just as a younger one - imagine how confused an older dog must be when displaced after being at one home for so long. If I could I'd have another sheep in a minute and she would probably be an older one.
The reason this woman needs to rehome her dog is that she recently fell ill and can no longer provide the care Daisy needs.
I have received an update on Daisy from Toni n CA:

Remember Daisy in CA? Owner finally called and matched her up with someone right there in Oakland who is looking. YAY
Way Cool :!:
Awesome!!!
I'm thrilled to hear this news as I continuously thought of this girl.
