my oes clock is ticking!

hi, i'm new here. i want a sheepdog baby sooooooo badly that i am becoming obsessed! i started researching dog breeds about 2-3 months ago when i knew that i would be buying a house. well, here i am, new house and now i want a new "baby"! (doesn't have to be a BABY...an older one will be great too!) so, how long does it usually take to adopt an oes? i submitted my adoption app. to neoes rescue 2 whole days ago! i know, i need to be patient but i've been wanting one for so long..and then i come to this site and see pics. of all of your beautiful "babies"! well, that's all, just wanted to say hi and vent. i really cannot wait to be an oes mommy! 8O :D

Good luck! We've had Tucker for 7 months and we still tell him many times a day, "Awwww, you're so cute!"

I know of someone who is willing to give away an oes to a good home.
email at mullislumbee@msn.com
Hi Mullislumbee,
Please consider directing your acquaintence to an OES rescue program. They screen homes very carefully, and seek to match the dog's needs and requirements and temperament to the prospective owner's needs, requirements and temperament.

This is done in the best interests of the dog. The dogs shouldn't have to be placed again after being uprooted once.

Joan and I waited 6 months for our dog Jake, and it was well worth the wait. He was EXACTLY the dog that we were looking for.

If there is a problem with a rescue group, there are many around the country who would be pleased to step in and help. If you would like, please feel free to contact me privately here at the forum, or through webmaster@oes.org .

Thanks!
-Ron.
thanks for the offer but i got a girl about 3 months ago...boy, time flies when you live with an oes puppy! :D she's great, we are going to school, and i think in another year i will the absolute perfect dog! now, i have the perfect dog about 3-5 days of the week...you know, the have their "piss and vinegar" days! well, that's it. bridy and matie
My OES was the smartest dog i've ever known. They are a smart breed. I met my dog's breeder at a dog show in ohio. He had a double eye patch and was named Bandit. Sadly, he passed away when he was 10
Once you get a sheepie they steal your heart(and shoes and remotes and glasses and phones    . Well worth everything you invest in them, I can't imagine having any other breed.

If anyone is interested, please take a look, this looks like a nice rescue OES.

Thanks!
