SUPERBOWL DAY!!!

lil J and I went to the store yesterday and picked out all our favorites snack foods. All we need now are our nachos and garlic chicken pizza which I'll make later. We're ready to watch the best team win. :D

I love the commercials!

(I just hate that it ends around 7pm here, and there's nothing on after that but grease and beauty and the geek marathons).

I had no idea that it was that day until Animal Planet advertised Puppy Bowl. We always watch that because it's much more interesting. Either that or paint drying...

LOL

Superbowl day to me means crappy tv day.
Oh well ditto since I don't have any teams that I like to cheer for.

Still, the commercials are good esp. the new K-Fed one.
Well, of course we're rooting for the Bears. We're headed out to my inlaws in about an hour. I have no idea what goes on in football so I'll be playing with the pups!

Oh I forgot about that, I love cool commercials... LOL
Here in San Francisco, the Queen Mary 2 is arriving under the Golden Gate Bridge about the same time as Superbowl.
Easy choice: QM2 watching.
She is so big and tall that only 30 feet between the top of her stack and the bridge! Gotta go be a lookie loo. Should be quite a sight. 8)

That sounds like something I'd want to see too... my maternal grandmother came over on the original Queen Mary as a war bride...

I always wished they would have even more dogs on the field. After awhile, the dogs start to look boring but I still watching ...hoping something new happens. I do like half time.
I even fed the dogs a special treat during the game.

Yuki is paying for it since she's allergic to everything, but I'd say she thought it was worth it. She looked like a little kid in a candy shop when I brought out the moist food. The cats are rubbing against my leg now because they got something good too. Normally I only bring out the good stuff on their birthday and holidays.

BTW, I LAUGHED AT THE Bud light rock paper scissors ...and the Blockbuster commercial.

at least the whole world got to see devin hester return a kickoff for a td.
It was nice to see Indy not kick a gimme FG on 4th down and run up the score, even though with 6 minutes left Chicago could have taken a lead with 2 TDs. The field goal would have made it necessary to score two TDs and 3 PATs to tie.

Very sportsmanlike. Glad I didn't have a bet on a two TD margin win! :D

The Bears played OK, but were simply overmatched by the Colts and Peyton Manning. Both teams could have played much better, and if the Bears had played a perfect game against Indy with Indy playing like they did today, it would have been very close indeed.

Fun game to watch, although I thought that Prince was an absolute dud. Comparing him vs Janet Jackson, Paul McCartney or the Rolling Stones really shows how poor it was.

He's a has been rocker whose music just deosn't survive the test of time; except maybe Little Red Corvette, which wasn't played????
Congrats to the Colts, they definitely were the better team today

There were some great commercials - I loved the Rock Paper Scissors one, the Career Builder ones were good, and we always like Go Daddy. K Fed was pretty good too.

And how about the short promo with Oprah and David Letterman! That was great!
The Colts were definately the superior players. They did a great job, and should be very proud! Congrats!

Ron...I can't figure out why Prince was there either. He has always irrated me.

Way to go Colts!
I thought that this was one of the most boring SuperBowls ever. The commercials were just 'eh' overall and the game wasn't exciting
I was sad because I usually love watching it

As for the puppy bowl...was that a samoyed puppy? That was seriously the cutest thing ever. I wish they had more variety--like call in subs or have the second string come out! More puppies!...and kittens!
I fast forwarded through most of the game so I could watch the commercials.

I liked the ones with the lions, the gorillas, and the "stray" dog who turned into a Dalmation. :D
