I really hate that Millie has this darn Kennel cough she has been hacking no stop most the time after she go's out potty. How in the world can I comfort her??? Anything I can do to help the cough??? Her vet gave me cough tabs but she already had her dose for tonight. I can only give them every six hrs. I wanna cry I hate hearing her hack she seems to act like she is gagging she starts that cough then she sits up and acts like she is going to hack up something... Oh my I feel bad Sad
Did the vet give her any cough supressant tablets?

When she coughs like that, pat her on either side of the body (think of burping a baby with both hands, but harder) where her lungs are. It'll help work out the mucus.
One time when I fostered a dog he gave my older Lab kennel cough!! I know how you feel!! It sounds like they have a bone caught in their throat and trying to cough it up. My vet gave me hydrocodone tablets to help at night but she still hung her head and coughed. I can't give much advice I just loved on my girl more and it seemed like forever before it cleared up. I will just send you both hugs Group hug
