Bam-Bam's Mum

Have really missed this site due to computer problems, but we are back and the adventures of Bam-Bam has continued. He is now the care taker of a colony of feral cats. We have pateintly worked at catching each one, having them spayed and neutered and even finding homes for some. We are down to 7 and I have a feeling we may be their permanent owners. They love and respect Bam-Bam as if he were their God. He gently herds them to their feeding spot, mornings and evenings and noses each one as if he were counting them. He sits pateintly at a distance as they feed. There is one in particular, the wildest of them all, that has fallen in love with him. He can not go out into the yard without this one weaving in and out of his legs, meowing mournfully for his attention. I think he may get just a bit agitated, but never looses his temper. I've had many different kinds of dogs, but the OES, especially this one, goes right to the top of my list for the most precious soul I've ever had the honor of knowing.

How sweet is that would love to see pics :D
Awww what a sweet story. He sounds like a wonderful boy, and it's a great thing you're doing for those cats too! :)
Just doing his job! If sheep are absent, then cats will do. Such a sweet boy!
I'd love to see a video :D
You were missed and welcome back!!!

What a wonderful and touching story you wrote, sounds as if Bam Bam is indeed one of those special ones. I love the OES nature specifically because of that and while all are individuals , I find they generally are very nuturing to other small creatures.

I currently have four of my own cats as well as my 3 "boys" and foster for the Humane Society. I love the interactions amongst them all.

Thanks for posting your story and would love to see photos and any updates on stories you have.

Bam-Bam just wants you to know that those sheep you have running around outside are awfully small sheep. And he likes them.
I would love to post photo's, but as I am not that computer savy, I am not quite sure how to do it. I'll devote some time to figuring it out one of these days soon. Happy Bam-Bam's story was enjoyed!
First things first -- you NEED to log in to the forum!!!
That is so sweet, and so well spoken. Fiona loves our cat Ricky. She holds him between her legs and cleans him ferociously...he loves it. What lucky animals you have.
