Hi From the UK

hi everyone my name is sally. I recently lost my best friend Blaze. It was very strange this xmas not watching him opening his pressy. Im finding it quite hard to talk about him, but the more i do i start to smile rather than cry(hopefully). In 4 weeks time I will be bringing home another oes, as my home seems bare without one. It is related to Blaze down the long line of pedigree. Im not replacing him just filling a void.

Welcome to the OES Forum.
Thank you for reaching out to us! I'm so sorry for your recent loss. The forum is a wonderful place for support. We look forward to the adventures of your new sheepie!
So sorry Sally.....Blaze is in your heart forever.
Where in the UK are you?
Sallyann, no one will ever replace Blaze, but your new lovie will bring his/her own charm and joy when they arrive.

Blaze is probably so happy you have a new one coming. I know they never want us to feel sad.

Welcome to our little group. We are here for you.
I'm sorry that you had to find our wonderful group under such sad circumstances. Please post pics of Blaze and share stories of him, as well as of your new furkid.
I'm sorry about Blaze--that's a great name, by the way. It'll get easier, and I'm sure the new puppy will at least keep you occupied!
I'm sorry about Blaze. I hope that as time goes by you'll see more nad more smiles instead of tears - not that tears aren't helpful, too!
Welcome and greetings from Australia. Sorry to hear about Blaze always hard when our babies have to cross the bridge.

Nice to hear you have a new baby coming soon, never replace Blaze but it does help fill an empty void.

Look forward to hearing about your new baby and also hearing more about your blaze too. Oh and pictures, we love seeing sheepies. :D
I am so sorry for your loss. I am glad you are going to have another sheepie to give your love to. I am sure Blaze will be looking down and grinning a big ole sheepie grin at the antics of a new puppy.
so sorry to hear of your loss of Blaze
I am so sorry about Blaze.

It was exactly one year ago ( January 18 ) that we lost our sheepie. I was heartbroken. Less than three weeks later we got Harry. He has filled the void that Mopsy left behind and we love him for his goofy self. Our sons still talk about Mopsy - she is the dog they grew up with - but they adore Harry and look forward to coming home from college to see him. Loving Mopsy has made it easier to love another sheepie.

I hope this helps. Please post pictures of your Blaze - we are anxious to see the dog that enriched your life.

Take care.
I am so sorry for your loss  I know it must be hard for you now, things will get better with time. You will always hold Blaze in your heart, and hopefully soon think of him not in sadness, but just remember all the joy you shared with him :) Opening your heart to another sheepie can only help they have so much love to give :hearts: Again I am so sorry for your loss.
Welcome and greetings from Canada,

I'm so sorry to hear of Blaze passing and it's obvious he was a much loved sheepie. He may be gone but his spirit will always remain alive in your mind and your heart. Each time one of mine have passed, I have taken another in my home. Never to replace as each is special and unique but in some ways to honor the one that has passed. It's because of them we have learned to love unconditionally.

In time, the pain subsides and you will find yourself smiling at a memory in which they caused you to laugh. Please come back again and tell us a story or things you remember of Blaze. We also would love to hear about the new little one that will soon be in your home.

Take Care!

hi Sally

Sorry to hear about Blaze.

Sending you :ghug:
hi everyone

I have just read all your messages and cant believe what lovely, kind friends I have found. Something positive has certainly come from the passing. It is like Blaze has found you all to comfort me cause he no longer can. I have tried to send pics last night but it didnt work, my husband will sort it for me. Thanks again Love sallyx. By the way the new arrival is Buster.
Hi Sally,

I'm from U.K. too, I joined the oes, org a day after Porridge passed away, I have met some really wonderful people who have been very supportive, Five weeks after Porridge left we adopted Ted who is now 6 months old, although there will never be another Mr P, Ted is filling the void he left behind. Getting another was the best thing we could have done and has only helped to heal our hearts. Keep posting and I look forward to seeing your new pup.
Hope this works, here is a pic of Blaze lazing at the top of the stairs.

Hi Sallyann

I'm also from the UK (Glasgow) - Blaze is a honey and looks really mischevious. i know exactly how you feel - we lost Shep on Dec 30th 06 and his loss is horrendous. SO glad you got another - I hope to do the same in about a year, when work is less hectic.

Take care & love to Ted.

I am so sorry you lost your best friend Blaze. I looked at his picture and he was just so cute. I can just imagine the big hole he has left. It is wonderful that the legacy of love he left will live on and welcome a new sheepie Buster. Each sheepie has their own uniqueness and will offer you love and help you to fill your heart and will have it's own special place in your heart that was made bigger only because of your love for Blaze.
