I used to have a cockatoo... they are so smart it's spooky.
What an amazing story. I think that's fascinating! Birds really are smart creatures.

My sis's African Grey has a huge vocabulary. But, the most interesting thing, in my estimation, is that he changes his voice to match the person he's mimicing. 8)

Thanks great story, they are amazing birds the Sulphur crested cockies. Did you know they live longer then us and they usually mate for life. :wink: Very smart birds too, but boy the Screech is loud, especially when they fly over in the early morning. :?

What beautiful birds and I found it very touching..romantic story as he accepts her the way she is. Very neat too that they documented it with photos right from the beginning to the present.
