Apprentice

Well, there's nothing else on, so it looks like I'll be watching this until a better reality show comes on in this time slot. Plus, with all the hype, I'm hoping it will keep my interest this season.

Frank got on my nerves! I understand trying to fight for your job, but I started to wonder if he was taking a breath between sentences. I'm surprised Donald didn't tell him to SHUT UP. I've seen him do it many times before.

I like the group leader (girl) on the other team.

The girl who got booted tonight would not SHUT UP!

Other than that, this episode was slow. I was an idiot and thought the romance they hyped up in the preview would make the show good.

I don't want to watch the rest, but I feel I have to. Not sure why.
I thought the show was cancelled???
I haven't watched this season since the first episode.

Making people who are applying for a managerial position in the Trump organization sleep in tents is the most preposterous thing. I was a HUGE fan, but since he fired Carolyn and went all nepotism with his ugly daughter and put people in tents that just turned me right off.

No more!
PS I am on Donald's side in the Rosie feud, but he really ruined The Apprentice for me. Maybe he'll blame Martha Stewart again, or maybe he'll blame his daughter, and there will be a huge falling out between them, then I can swoop in and take over his empire!

MUHahahahahahaha
But Ron, how do you really feel????!!!!!

That is just hilarious. Mostly because it came from you.

I do think it's his show, and if that's what it takes to get the position of your life then that's what you've got ot do. I think it's great because it potentially adds to stress and more drama.

BTW, I'm on Rosie's side ;)
I don't know why you think it is funnier coming from me?

I don't watch much TV, and the show was great to see how bright young people work out problems together, see some brilliant, off-the-cuff ideas in marketing, see how they manipulate things and each other, how they try to play a corporate game, and to never really understand that it's all about the boss, Donald. He picks the guy (or gal) who is going to fit into his organization the best, who fits the mold, who is most like himself.

But that's the way it really is in the corporate world!

Carolyn was excellent! But Donald was clearly grooming his kids to take over. Firing Carolyn to make room for his daughter was totally unfair.

But that's the way it really is in the corporate world!

Watching 35 or 36 year old Carolyn Kepcher was a perfect lesson in how a woman needs to behave to succeed in our current corporations. I'm not saying that it's right, just that it is the reality. While all executives, male (like George) and female, need to be sycophants, a woman needs to smile nearly all the time, and deliver devastating news and opinion in a very agreeable way. It's not bad advice for a guy either, but if a woman doesn't operate this way, they are seen as a B---, while men are just seen as forceful, or aggressive.

But that's the way it really is in the corporate world!

Maybe it will catch my eye again later in the season, but not right now. Maybe never.

PS I'm on Donald's side because she started it. She made a personal attack on him, calling him names for being essentially "holier than thou", in his public/business decisions vs his private life, separation of personal life and public life. Something which she was hypocritically all for re: President Clinton, of course. He retaliated, and I'm glad that he came out firing both guns.
I'm upset because I had copied and pasted my response in case you gave your Donald side, but when I hate ctrl-v, I lost it :(

I agree she started it, and it was a low blow. She shouldn't have done that. I also think "talking about people/news topics" is her job. I can't imagine that was the first time he has heard soemthing like that. ...but I also am on the side that someone proving she represents the girls in the US (cream of the crop) should not be given a second chance. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity. Kind of like you get kicked out immediately of the Air Force Academy or WP if you get caught w/alcohol your first year. Getting an opportunity that only a few get, and you show your appreciation by doing that? Anyway, that's my opinion. When I saw Donald get on the Today show and yell at Meredith because she asked about the Rosie situation even though... it had been previewed all week that she would is ridiculous. Everyone (on the today show) was on her side because it was clear he WANTED to talk about it, so why yell at her? Then to follow up that he always fights back with another low blow and will never back down is just childish.

Carolyn was fired because she started to ask for more demands and got too cocky (so I hear). I do hate his two kids on there. I'm sick of their pouty lips. I also thought carolyn added more to the show.

It's funny coming from you because you're always in the middle.. rarely really expressing how you feel about something. ;) Funny to hear you call people ugly or whatever. I like it, but I just love talking "reality tv" with anyone.
Joan thinks she (his daughter Ivanka) is beautiful.
I'm in the conspiracy-theory camp...I think the Rosie/Donald feud is a publicity stunt!
I say....who cares :? I mean, really, who cares??????

Donald is a pompous, bad comb over man and Rosie is a big mouthed ''altruist'' woman.

Both drive me crazy and both are obnoxious as far as im concerned.

There! Ive made my peace now!
