| I know!!!!!!!!! I was thinking the same thing. I felt like the one chick with the black hair, OLD (noticeably), and brought the piece of paper to remember the words was acting. With her resume (acting, comedy club, etc), that's how it came off to me.
Willowsprite, I've been wondering where all my trashy tv has gone. It's been a long time since they've aired a Temptation Island and many other old favorites. 
I didn't think I'd be interested in this. Just seemed to... AI, and I rarely watched their seasons outside of the auditions and the last 5 or so. ...but I was drawn in like ButtersStotch. I have dreams about LOST's new season starting. Literallly. |

| yeah, same here. I bet I have seen the movie at least 100 times, so I thought I'd give the show a try. It was actually pretty entertaining! (maybe mostly b/c I was singing along and dancing around the kitchen while making dinner)

I am embarressed to admit I actually WATCHED it last night There were some PRETTY SKETCHY people trying out but I was also impressed with some. The cute little blonde (drug rep) had a great voice and there was young dark haired girl who was great as well. I missed the dance portion though, had to switch to Desperate HOusewives (talk about trash tv  ) so I didn't see who went on to Grease Camp.
The bog old braod from Long Island should stayed home!!!!!!!! She does have a good voice but she is too old and toooooo plump to even begin to play the part. And how bout that "Sundhine" |

| I love GREASE, but Steve totally ruined it for me last night. He came home about an hour before it started. I told him I wanted to watch it and he criticized and made fun of it beforehand and while I tried to watch it. I did have to agree with him that the auditions are annoying just like they are in AI. I'll probably tune in next week or the week after.
PS Steve also ruins Lifetime movies for me as well. I miss watching with Mom  |
OH MY GOSH STACEY!!!!!!! I think Steve and Doug must be brothers!!!!!!!!!!!! Every time he catches me watching a Lifetime Movie he give me a hard time

It makes me mad, though...Like when I'm innocently trying to watch Felicity and my brother thinks that Scott Speedman has a lisp, so he'll come in and sit down and be like Hi Felithity...Felithity, what are you doing, I love you...it drives me CRAZY! I don't want them to necessarily watch with me...just shut up enough so I can listen to the show! |
| or the worst is Brian with the gilmore girls.... he will sit down and talk really fast incoherently...he says that what it sounds like to him.....he doesnt even understand how i can follow the dialog....it drives him crazy! |

| I felt so bad for the guy (really bad travolta hairstyle) who got dumped by his girlfriend who was also trying out just because he made it, and she didn't!!! Of course they were going to break up anyway, but the way she did it pissed me off Evil or Very Mad He was too "sissy" for the part though (and he was booted last week).
I like the waitress who looks like an innocent Sandra Dee. This show is a lot more entertaining than AI right now! |

| These are my thoughts. I'm sure they will change as the show continues. Everyone will grow, and I'm sure surprise us. I did my best to put a little description of each person to help anyone else remember a name. These are the folks in order.
Derek (ran track) - kind of looks like Uncle Jesse from Full House to me but w/o the toughness. He looks like he's a rich boy not Danny from Grease. Austin - from tx is smoooooooooooth. I feel kind of bad for the other guys because it's VERY clear he has the most experience. allie schultz - (tenn/just out of high school - 19) - sang "I love rock n roll" didn't come off experienced at all, her dance moves were too slow kate rockwell -(ohio/waitress) - sang "all by myself" - i thought she was great and reminded me of olivia/sandy! matt (jock/was kicked off) "pretty woman" - I think he so looks the part, but saying he's "green" to broadway was pretty much on target. his singing definitely needs work. ashley anderson (tenn/was kicked off/emotional) sang "you're still the one" her singing is a little weak too, but I just love the way she looks. too bad. jason (utah/was in some alter boy play) - sang "I've got to have faith" maybe he'll grow on me, but I just didn't want him as danny max - (arizona/was called a slacker, was told hair is too shaggy) - sang "summer of 69" he is one of my favorites. he's such a cutie, but more of a ...what's scooby doo's best friend - the shaggy haired guy? he's limp. not a tough guy. i love his singing and dancing though
laura (minnesota/just got engaged) sang "why do birds fall in love" - she's so pretty. i kept staring at her legs. i have nothing bad to say. kathleen (oregon/worship leader) sang "suddenly I see" - i liked her just because she was a worship leader ...but that's exactly what i see when she sings. someone in my church who leads the singing. i like her though, just don't think she will win kevin (ny/close to his grandfather) sang "walking in memphis" looks like a sweet guy, but a good guy, the kind you take home to mom. not even close to a danny. chad doreck (ca) - sang "sign sealed delivered" - he looks like a young danny. cute. juliana hansen - (LA - the sizzlin' brunette) sang sheryl crow "the first cut" well, what do you say. she totally her a sweet personality, great voice, but that dark hair really throws me off. not sure yet. ashley s (ohio, ballerina dancer) sang "does he really love me" I LOVE HER!!!!! They saved the best for last for this 2 hr show on purpose imo |

Ashley Anderson - thank goodness. her emotions were killing me. Matt - poor matty. so cute. bad singer. Judges thought their favorites were: main guy: austin and laura, girl: kathleen and someone older guy: max and laura my favorite tonight ashley s again. guys: didn't think I'd like him but... I liked derek over chad and austin. bottom three in my book: kevin greene - apparently someone who went to school with him said he tried out for danny and lost in college. he's too slender and a tad dorky to me. Jason(was on chopping block tonight) - don't think he has enough fans. he's too teddy bear build, i'm guessing max girls: juliana (brunette) - looks like she should be playing a role in west side story. don't feel she's right. kathleen (spiritual sandy) - as pretty as she is, she still looks too "thick" for the part, imo. I hope she doesn't get it. allie - she may be bottom three just like this week, she's stiff. very sandy looking though. |

I'm glad my picks last week were booted: Juliana and Jason In the order of how I liked them: chad/allie - did EXCELLENT!!!! I had chills!! austin/laura - I'm not feeling austin as Danny. great emotions and singing on his part though! laura is great too but she doesn't look the sandy part. Max/Ashley - max just isn't the alpha of the pack like danny their combo just didn't do anything for me. blech.

Thankfully Kevin got the boot. Kate also left. Allie has been my fav for 2 weeks! She did great and she looks more innocent than Ashley. Not what I originally thought! I can't believe she almost got booted a few weeks ago! Laura caught me eye too, and I liked her more than Ashley. Kathleen - bye. Max is such a goober. He tries so hard, but he's a nerd. I'm sad the guys didn't sing. judges all chose laura tonight |

| Bahh... not sure what i thought about last night's episode.
I didn't LOVE anyone. I was shocked that allie got bottom two. I thought she did wonderful last week. I did agree with the judges that Max did THE BEST last night. I don't know who I want to win... I hated Austin's hair in the opening song (w/group). He looked horrible. |
| Amazing how what used to be hard to choose from become easier when it gets down to the final few.
I agree with the judges that the most unconventional slowly became Danny and Sandy through the weeks. Max and Laura are my votes! Laura is not only innocent looking, but for several weeks, she's brought that SEXY Olivia Newton John/Sandy too. ...and as long as Max doesn't wear sleeveless shirts, I continue to think he's beginning to look more believable. Still not the BEST, but my favorite out of the choices. Chad became a Max (weak looking, appearance wise), so it was no surprise to me when he got booted. Austin should be next. His face looks like a skeleton to me. I have nothing bad to say about Ashley. Allie should go home. She's a Meg Ryan. Really cute, but not sexy. Not to mention Allie is the least talented out of the three. Two of the judges felt Austin was the best tonight. Blech! Please Please don't choose him America! |

| I was actually not a big Max fan at the start but I think he is great now, he has come a long way. AND I've switched from an Ashley fan to a Laura fan.

| me too! although I really have to agree with the main guy judge. Laura and Ashley were both super tonight. Max just really captured my attn. He doesn't have a tiny head like Austin either. Looks funny when he's with his partner.
I loved all the songs. I was dancing away!!!! I was upset I missed the first 30 min (on phone). |

| even though it looks likes no one posted on this topic in awhile... i have to call my mom out mind you i'm still living at school, so i haven't been home to watch all the madness unfurl. but apparently my mom and sister feel in love with this show and from early on, my mom told my sister that if max wins, they'll go to new york to watch him on broadway.
and look who won... i know my mom actually looked up ticket prices, now time will tell if shes true to her word! |
