Camping with Sheepies!!!

Don't ya love it when things just come together?

A few months ago I found out that there is a huge family reunion happening June/July 2007 in Prince Edward Island (the very east end of Canada). We live in the central part of Canada, so were thinking of how we could do it with the dogs.

Then my neighbor hung a For Sale sign out on their trailer....so guess where it is now? Looks good beside my house, eh?

It is a bit shabby, in and out, but Don is quite handy and we've had many, many trailers before. A nice spring project for us!

And the best part of all this is that we are totally planning on going to Nova Scotia to meet Brenda (Dudster) and Murphy (Dixie's cousin), Dudley and any other sheepie or non-sheepie from the forum who wants to join us!

Nova Scota, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island....here we come!!! The first week of July!!! :yay:

Oh sounds like fun where in PEI is the reunion and I'll try and make a trip at that time and if I'm down there I'll be there

Or is it a family reunion in PEI and a sheepie get to gether in NS?
Congratulations on your new home, Nicole! Ron & I started RVing so we could vacation with Jake. Invariably Jake got LOTS of rubs on our walks in the campgrounds. Mulligan, like Jake, likes to travel but loves to come back home!
Keep us posted as to your Sheepie plans in Nova Scotia. Perhaps New England and NY/Mid-Atlantic forum members would want to rally?!
How many more days till July 1st???

Brenda
Dudley and Murphy (I'm gonna like my cousin.. I'm gonna like my cousin...)
You're very lucky! We would love to have a RV. :) I can't wait to hear about all your traveling. Sounds like so much fun FOR EVERYONE!

We will definitely have to get something to travel back to the lower 48 in a few years. It will be Mr. J, me, our two kiddos (and their carseats), 2 cats (w/litterbox), 2 dogs, and anything/everything that our movers can't pack! 8O

That sounds fantastic!!! We will be in Nova Scotia for July1st, 2007 for a couple of days...It is a long weekend here, Canada Day. We haven't booked our site, yet, but we will be in Dartmouth/Halifax area...Close to where ever Brenda (Dudster) will be living by then!

Brenda, we are starting to count down the months, soon to count down the weeks...then the days. I am already thinking if the pups will be in puppy cuts, full coat or what....!
And Murphy will ADORE his cousin, Dixie. All dogs like Dixie...she will be no threat and will pay him homage...
But if anyone tries to get a bit rough with her Bosley will not allow it...He is the overbearing big brother...  It is a pain, sometimes, because he doesn't let her have fun with any other dogs.......
I would suggest puppy cuts..

Cause there is going to be a flurry of activity.. there will be beach walks... which will include alot of sand rolling and splashing in the Atlantic Ocean.. tons of backyard wrestling, and then there is the park....we will have outdoor fires, roasting marshmellows.. maybe take a trip to Peggy's Cove sightseeing if you want..

Can't forget the lobster boil, scallops, mussels, July 1st fireworks.. oh.. then we have to go for a stroll along the waterfront in Halifax.. so everyone can oooooh and awwwww over the Sheepies.. and the St. Bernard....no, no, no..it's a Berner.

tons planned...tons planned...
What a great spring project for you, Nicole! I especially like the trillium on the door of the trailer!

mmmm lobster
I have a tattoo of that on my......
A little change of plans........We just picked up a different trailer. It is also a Trillium, but a 17 foot one....so a wee bit bigger....The one in the first picture is now up for sale...

We are going camping tomorrow, Saturday, just for 1 nite....15 minutes away... It is a test, so we can break in the pooches....

I must say I was very proud of them tonite. We went to pick the trailer up and the folks had 2 Yorkies and a Border Collie. They were all in the house, together, and got along fine! Dixie was a bit too interested in the kitchen, though....

So, tomorrow we are off! I am bringing my camera, and hopefully will get some good pics of the furballs at our campsite...and in our trailer...I wonder how much attention they will get, as we walk them around the place?

Brenda! Only 7 weeks to go! Can you believe it?

:excited: :excited: :excited:
