Water Limit?

Just wondering...is it okay to stop providing water after 8pm for an 8 week pup during housebreaking period? Its not hot here at all but I worry about no water from 8pm til morning? He eats his last meal at 5pm. Still feeding three times a day and has water available all day otherwise.
Thanks!

No, you should be fine as long as you aren't getting up at noon and he'd have to wait too long! I'm assuming you're pulling the water up at his bedtime with the hopes he'll make it through the night?
Oh yes! Pull his water up a few hours before bedtime. Otherwise you'll have more surprises. He should be just fine.
Yes, I take the water up a few hours before bed time. I only have him home two days so we are all still getting settled. He is doing very well with the crate and no accidents in it so far. But I know what its like to have to go potty in the middle of the night myself and I don't want him to "bust" waiting with a full bladder so I thought I would stop the water a few hours ahead...

He gets his last meal at about 5 pm and of course water frrely available all day long.

Thanks!
He should be fine - actually more comfortable at night, right?! We really tried to do this with Bingley but he would cry in the evenings the nights we kept his water away. Every puppy is different!
Yeah, like everyone else said - he'll be fine. Sounds like you're doing great!

As he gets better with housetraining and holding it at night, you can gradually allow him to have water a little later in the evening - up to 9:30 or so he could have smaller amounts of water, if you were going to bed at 11pm. That was our schedule around 4-5 months, but of course every pup is different.

Keep at it and be consistent. Eventually there comes a day when they just "get it".

Best of luck and patience. :)
