I Got a Nintendo Wii!!!!!!

Yay! I'm the happiest person alive right now! James got me a Nintendo Wii. For everyone who had kids that wanted one and didn't get it, could you please make them jealous by letting them know I have one?   :D :D :D :D :D

I also got a super sweet grooming tack box, some new Sims expansion packs, a new console for my Honda, a new clock, some books and a few other things. I love Christmas!!!! Oh and James too! :D

I am so flipping jealous. I convinced my Mom to get my Dad one but we were too late and couldn't find one :/

My brother and cousin have one though so I got to play it a bunch already and it is awesome, have fun!!
Whoo Hoo Jill! I got a new WARM bathrobe, an electrolux sweeper and a travel jewelry case from mom...

Brian and i werent going to exchange gifts this yr because of the kitchen...but I did get a g.c. for Victoria secret...ooo la la.....and a whole bunch of stuff for the kitchen...stemware, chopping thingers, a knife sharpener...etc....not bad!!

Panda did well too...she is carrying her new baby around showing it the layout of the house...lol...
Cool... you'll have to let us know how you like it... I must admit to being somewhat intrigued by the Wii

Darcy... so cute about Panda and her new baby :hearts:
Jill, have you ever used any of the Sims hacks and cheats?
I found them loads of fun, but then after you use them it's like there is no point to the game anymore, other than a few moments of sick and twisted amusement when the urge strikes

Yeah, I cheat all the time. Somehow, though, I find micromanaging their tedious little lives enough for me! I always like to "couple" them up up inappropriately. I name and make them look like our friends and take screenshots of them doing inappropriate things. It keeps my childlike mind busy for hours!

Bear and Clyde got these funny toys that yell "Weee!" and "Whoa!" and they got really possessive of them immediately, like they were their own little people. I took a video of Bear hording both of them that I'll post later.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I do...

me to.
8) Cool!
Great presents! 8)
Sounds like your happy with your gifts
Sounds like you had a great Christmas Jill. Tell everyone to stay clear of you while you are using the controllers and make sure you use the wrist bands. We would feel bad for you having to tell the vet how Clyde got hit in the head with a flyaway controller.
I'm going to try to get Bear on video with reaction to playing the Wii. It's very interactive and physical-- you actually do all the motions of baseball, golf, tennis, bowling and boxing. For some reason, when James plays, Bears goes nuts and tries to jump all over him. Since he's not doing it to me, it's very funny!
I got my Nintendo DS Lite...coral pink! I'm thrilled! It has games with "brain" exercises.

Lord knows I need that!!!!!

Hope everyone got their heart's desire!!!!

I've heard a lot of about that game, Brain Age I think it's called...

My husband said he really wanted to get me one... what is he saying?

LOL Can't wait to see it LOL
How fun! What is Sims?

Steve and I "decided" not to get one another anything this year as we bought ourselves a headboard to match our bedroom set (arrives Thursday). He did stick to the agreement, but I purchased him a stylish sweater with a zipper down half the front. Wouldn't you know I bought a medium instead of a large by mistake. So, it's like I didn't by him anything at all. I purchased it at TJ Maxx so I'll likely have a hard time finding the item now. Oh well!

My MIL got that. Now everyone is trying to beat each other with the youngest brain age!

Oh, and Jill...we have been Wii-ing nonstop for 2 days now! So much fun. I have to just brag that I am an excellent bowler.

Barney loves to be in the way for Nintendo Wii...he's fascinated by it.
When I first did the brain age quick challenge, it came out that my brain was 70 years old!!!

Ah....I think I have a lot of work ahead of me!!!!!

(I have already improved!)

Its fun!!! My kids thought I was nuts wanting it.

Arent you supposed to be smarter as you get older?? It seems to me, you must have the mind of a genuis....and thats saying a lot from the "Great Brain"...
Not smarter....wiser!

And to tell the truth, I've always been a bit of a wise a**!

Lol. Today I was boxing for 2 hours straight. I hadn't realized I'd been playing so long until I had to stop because my arms were killing me! I have to say, I love that you're actually moving around and doing stuff. It makes me feel like not such a lazy video game player.

Bear is the most excited by the Wii. he sees us moving around and, next thing you know, he's diving at you from across the room. He already took me down by way of my numchuk controller this morning!
I take kickboxing classes in real life, so when I tried the boxing, I was REALLY getting into it and my family was just laughing at me, but I was WAY better than they were!

I agree, it's fun to be moving around and active, although my husband is already golfing while sitting on the edge of the coffee table instead of standing up...

LMAO.... As I read this I called in my aunts son from the other room to show him your post . Boy oh boy was he pissed...LOL ...

He is 13 and said ..I quote " Thats why there was not enough for us kids the adults took them for themselves"

YEP...
HAHAHAHAHAAH THAT is REALLY funny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have to admit that sounds like FUN. I've never been into video games very much, but this one might be worth looking into.... :!:
I have no idea what that is, but I know I'd love it. It's just been YEARS since I played a video game. stopped once that little blue guy came out (he was blue. something Sonic?) I'd be so lost playing now, but we've talked about getting something since it will eventually make it back into our home!

Actually, it's because 13 year olds can't afford the jacked up prices on eBay. Besides, kids should be studying so when they're adults they can have things that kids can't have. :)

YEP .... I AGREE..............
Those look so fun! The boys got about $500 together for Christmas, so we're planning on getting them one with a few games whenever we see them in stores again. I'd rather them play those games than their Gamecube or the XBOX 360 games since the Wii makes them get up and move.

You can play all the GameCube games in the Wii anyway so you really just need the one system if you get one.

Well, we already have a PS2, Gamecube, XBOX, and the 360. Only the 360 and GC get played (my hubby is a major gaming geek) I love that the GC games play in the Wii. That'll save us a bunch of money since the boys have a ton of GC games. :)

When we first got the Wii, it was all about standing up and moving and looking like you were actually doing the sport or whatever was on the screen. Then 2 days later, it had shifted to being perched on the edge of the coffee table...I came home from work yesterday and my husband and his brother were TOTALLY reclined in the recliners and just flicking their wrists...so not much getting up and moving anymore!
So jealous!!!!
might i suggest getting Rayman Raving Rabbids... it is a throughly addicting game and is soooo much fun to play. The story mode allows you to unlock a slew of mini games from the story game and you can then play those with other people.

my husband and I speant hours mastering the dance games.. lets just say he needs more practice.. altho i need him to help me with throwing the cow still.. cant seem to get it through the gate.. grr.. =)

It was the first game I went out and got, actually. Those little bunnies are freaky and adorable at the same time!
LMAO, you're just a big kid. :D
