OES in KILL Shelter to be Euthanized
wondering if there is anyone out there who could give this dog a home. The Humane Society has a purebred Old English Sheepdog that will be euthanized - not even put out for viewing by the public - if someone doesn't step up to adopt this boy. This is because he's 8 years old and he needs to be neutered. The HS uses anesthesia that's not appropriate for an 8 year old so they're just not going to make him available. He's very mellow. He was turned in by his owner who is a homeless person who just wanted Peekaboo to have a warm place to sleep at night, a yard, and better food. An HS volunteer has him in her home over the weekend to work with him, house train, and learn more about his personality. So far he seems to be a total love that just wants a warm place to sleep and some hugs. She says that when she's in a different room of the house than he's in, he give out a low moan but that's all. Oh how sad,  If only I lived closer. Pa is just to far to travel. I really hope someone out their will open there heart to this poor boy. If anyone is traveling to Pa bring him along for me. |
| Thankyou Dorathy Hart for finding this boy in need and getting the word out about him. Thanks to the people on our 2 sister lists, Sheepie@yahoo.org and the forum at OES.org this boy has been sprung and is being fostered in a warm loving home until he can be neutered and placed.
