Blessings of the Holiday Season to all my OES.org family

So you all know I'm not generally the "sappy" type, I'm much better at laughing and poking fun than getting all kinds of emotional and nostaligic. But I wanted to take a moment out of this busy Christmas Eve day to let everyone know how much each and everyone of you, and this forum, have ment to me over the past year.

There are so many of you that I think about every day, and feel that I have come to know in a real and personal way. My heart breaks this weekend for Mandy and her loss. I wait for news of Kaye's husband, his surgery and his treatment. Every time Iraq is on the news I pause to think about Mrs. J and precious Lil J and the day when that jellybean jar will be empty and Mr. J waill be home SAFE and SOUND.

Tick bites ( ), mammograms, Clowns with pneumonia and even just members laid low with a bad cold are just as important to me as the problems faced by the flesh and blood people I come in contact with everyday. Some of our members have faced family illness, the loss of a parent, floods and loss of jobs. I hold you all in my heart.

Just as I rejoice with those with new puppies (that I can live vicariously through), new members finding us for the first time with old and young sheepies alike. I eagerly anticipate the next chapter in Stacey's long term plan for building a kennel. And am so Thankful for the knowledge and experience that is represented here in every post every day. I love sharing in your joys, a new addition to you house, Darcy's NEW KITCHEN (and Ron's), vacations to exciting places, Val's total remodeling of her life.

Once again the Christmas Card exchange was the highlight of the holiday for me, a tangible way to connect with all the wonderful people here. Every one here makes my life better in someway and I am so Thankful and Grateful to all of you for extending the reaches of my world.

Blessings of this Holiday season to you all.

Ginny

You spelled everything out so perfectly, Ginny! Happy holidays everyone!
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to my extended sheepie family - worldwide!
I couldn't have said it better Ginny.... :)

You're right, the people we've gotten to know here on the forum are just as important to me as the friends I see in person on a regular basis....

:ghug:

I wish everyone of you a happy holiday, and a fabulous New Year!! :D
Aww, Ginny youre going to make me cry. I feel the same way. I know it IS kind of weird to get so attached to people that you have never met, or only met once, but I also feel that you guys are a group of people that know me all too well....

There isnt a day that goes by that I do not think of all of you or reference something that happens on oes.org to the people in my every day life.

Smiles, laughs and tears...there just isnt a better place to hang out. When I sit down and really think about how blessed I am, I am amazed.

I love all of you too and am a better person for knowing all of you.

Merry Christmas Ginny and everyone else..
Wow....you said it Ginny...

I couldn't have done a better job of expressing how I feel about all of you than Ginny did. Happy Holidays everyone!

Hugs,
I know what you mean - Merry Christmas! Great job explaining how profound the relationships are on this board. . . :ghug:
I can't even tell you how many times I start a sentence with "On the Sheepdog message board..." everyone thinks I'm a nerd, but I am so thankful for this place.

Happy Holidays everyone :D
That was so wonderful to read this morning (well, it's morning where I am).

I never thought I'd get so attached to you guys either. The sadness brought to Mandy still hasn't left my mind, and I feel emotionally bonded to so many of you.

I wish everyone the best, and enjoy hearing about your lives and accomplishments. There are many things I go here first to share instead of calling my family, which says a lot for me since my family and I are close.

Thanks to everyone supporting Mr. J OR other soldiers in Iraq. I feel for them so deeply. Yesterday, yet another soldier died, and now when I pull up to my driveway... I've become scared. In the back of my mind, I've started to fear seeing that car w/a Chaplain and two soldiers waiting for me and lil J to come home and tell us something terrible. I go slow every time I approach my house. You guys help me get my mind off "THAT" and thinking about other things ...happy stuff. So thank you all.

:ghug:

Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays to all.
Me too... I love this forum and the many wonderful people i have meet.. Like Darcy said I feel Like I know you all... Im sooo glad that I found this Place.. Wishing you all a happy hoilday, and a Very Happy new year... :)
Well said, Ginny. You've expressed what I, too, feel for each of you and the importance of this community in my life. I am often amazed at the profound differences in my life that are a direct result of being a part of this community. I truly treasure the friendships I've made here. I rejoice in your happiness and success and grieve with you in your times of sorrow. You're a blessing to me and I wish each of you a Merry Christmas and that all you wish for will be yours in the New Year. :ghug:
Best Wishes for a very Merry Christmas to all our friends at the forum.

Your warmth and friendship is cherished. Have a wonderful
Christmas with your families watching your sheepies open their presents!

:ghug: and
Thank you for reminding me how special I truly am.

Lol. I feel the same way. I love all the friends I've met on here. Jil and I were just talking last night about what a good group this is and how supportive and helpful we all are to each other. For someone who has very little family, I always consider you guys my little extended family. ;)

Merry Christmas to all "my forum friends"..

I don't even know how to refer to you when I mention something that happened to so-and-so on the forum...

"My forum friends" sounds kind of weird, as I've met less than 15 of you, but that's what you have become.

I have shared sorrows, joys, frustrations and you are a great support and help to me when I need it.

Thanks for being there...

Happy Holidays!!!
:ghug:
Awwwwwwwwwww.....I, too, laugh and cry with everyone here. This is my family.

I love you all!

Merry Christmas, and a happy and healthy New Year to you all!
I second everything that's been said. Since I am the "sappy type" I will leave it at that.

Merry Christmas to all. I appreciate knowing all of you and have enjoyed being a part of your lives. And thank you for the support throughout the year with the challenges we have dealth with. :D
Merry christmas to all the of you i couldnt have said it any better myself. heres to another year on the forum.
Ginny, you expressed how I feel wonderfully! I could not have said it better myself.

My husband has gotten used to me saying "I read on the forum . . .". My kids still think I'm bonkers, though, but isn't that their job, to think their parents are crazy?? I've met a few people from the forum and I treasure the friendships that have developed from that. I also think of everyone here as extended family. How could we not, the time most of us spend on this site daily??

My love and best wishes to one and all for a very Merry Christmas and a healthy and Happy New Year!!
I could not have said anything better than all of you said, we are an extended family :D I try to log on each morning, and evening after work. I also talk about the forum to my co-workers, they will never know the love we share of sheepdogs, and every other animal I supose. I wish you all a happy holiday, and also thank-you for all you have taught me, you all have truly touched my life :) I hope we have many years together on this forum, Love to all Loried :ghug:
Wonderfully said Ginny!

You people are definitely a second family to me. I have met some truly amazing people here and value their friendships tremendously. :ghug:
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE. :) :)
GINNY'S LETTER WAS SO TRUE. THIS WAS MY FIRST YEAR EXHANGING THE XMAS CARDS AND I TRULY ENJOYEDD IT. GETTING HOME FROM WORK AND OPENNING UP THE CARDS HAS BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT OF MY DAY FOR THE LAST FEW WEEKS. LIKE SO MANY I DO REFER TO MY FORM FRIENDS OFTEN.
WHAT A GREAT FAMILY.

JOANNE
Ginny that was very well said. While I am only a part time person on this forum I feel like I have gotten to know all of you and value all the advice and friendship. I try not to miss too many days in a row just to see how you and your sheepies are doing. I totally agree that the card exchange was a daily highlight and must admit I was frequently disappointed when there were no OES cards.

Merry Christmas to all of you
Hugs and kisses to all! :ghug: :ghug: :ghug:
May everyone have the best holiday ever!

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL! :D :D :D :D

Thanks to everybody for all the wonderful cards. I will cherish them forever!
Altho of late Alan and I have been rather quite due to recent events, a day hasnt gone by which i havent read the latest posts and giggled n cried here. I know we have only recently joined this board but I can truely say that this board is a great place. I am an avid board surfer and can say that with full gusto and conviction. This board and the people that use it are some of the best peeps out there.

Our Chirstmas is abit muted. (trying to keep it up beat for the kiddie winks.. woke us up.. no wait we hadnt gone to bed yet..at 2am this morning to open pressies..well we let em have at then went back to bed while they indulged =P ) I have been CAREFULLY looking around for a new friend and been living vicariously through Dickens Dads posts in the mean time.. ( Come on man post already =P ) Would have really great to have our Ursa attacking Will's Roboreptile or vice versa.. but alas it wsant meant to be..and without you all here it would have been so much harder getting through all this..

I was truely a happy day to have found this board and all the future friends Alan and I will make here. You guys n gals rock on so many levels and for this I want to wish each and everyone of you the Merriest of Christmas's and happiest of holidays times to you all.

Such a fantastic place filled with fantastic peeps.. one of the best christmas gifts i have had.. finding new freinds such as you all.

<3 Ann

thank you all and ..

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!
