| You are soooooo not the only one!!!! I am going crazy because I might not get my new baby on time! I just wanna go away to an Island so I might not even think about it! And i haven't even started my holiday shopping!! AAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH! When are we leaving?!

Lol. Me too. Other than some wrapping to do, I'm all ready for the holidays and have been looking forward to it. However, I don't have a dog peeing everywhere either. That on it's own is a heck of a stressor. Is Olive normally crated or does she have full run of the house? Maybe she needs to have her boundaries shrunken. |

| After getting myself all cranked up the begining of the week I've decided TO HECK WITH it (well, my real thoughts were a bit different but this IS a family friendly forum), I REFUSE to go through another holidy as a gibbering idiot.
I picked my daughter up at the airport at 8AM this morning and we went to FRIENDLY'd for ice cream. YUP ice cream at 8:30 this morning She'd been on a plane all night and me, well remember I SAID TO HECK WITH IT.
So filled with new resolve, and chocolate ice cream, I decided I am going to do what I want to do, younguns be darned. If the assorted children want to show up that is FINE and Dandy if not great |

| midnight margaritas sound fantastic, and i like that song too! i like even more Tasker's mom's (ok which gets the ' god i can't even type my brain is fried) attitude heck with it. Chocolate sounds great. i have been exercising like crazy trying not to gain weight during the season, but man i could use something sweet. and Yes i do crate olive. My family is weird and we had to do santa for the kids today because my brother has been divorced and remarried and it was the only day to do it. i was pushed to get home on my lunch break so my brother went over to let olive out and when she gets excited " there she blows" well my so smarty pants brother didn't want to ruin a "good" towel so he just left it there. we are not talking a dribble...we are tlaking lake ontario. Did i mention i was stressed and my brother is VERY smart |

Oh yes, I am about to go crazy. My son woke up sick. My SIL called me yesterday and said MIL told her we were doing Christmas dinner at MY house - AAAGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!! My guys were zero help last night even though I had a long list of Need-to-Do things they could have picked from. My tree is Still wrapped up on my porch, for instance. When my MIL called last night to make nice, I told her if my floor was sticky she would have to understand that I hadn't had time to mop it. I am prioritizing and anything that doesn't get done - tough toots! Do you think that was too harsh? 
On we go- I stop working and stressing about unfinished stuff at midnight Saturday night. I want Christmas Eve for myself - to do whatever I want. That will be MY day off. Just sitting here feeling sorry for myself..... Shellie |
| Shellie, I'm sorry!!!! Try to keep it all in perspective!!!!!!!! If you are fixing dinner ASSIGN parts of the meal for others to bring. KEEP IT SIMPLE, don't try to make "gourment". What is important about Christmas is BEING TOGETHER. Buy a meat platter at your local deli and have everyone bring a salad, get frozen cheese cake and bakery cookies.
Spike the cranberry juice with Vodka and after the first hour no one will care that the house isn't spotless!!!! |
I am feeling frazzeled too!! All my sheepie fosters have been placed so I now have lots of time?? My husband is having knee surgery today at 2:30. My house is a wreck!! I was sick for 5 days and poor Guinness got some matts and I spent all day grooming him and he went outside and rooted in the mud!!!! My children bought me an Oster table and cage dryer for Christmas . (NICE)I was so desperate I opened my gift and used it !! I was going to try and get it back in the box but was to pooped to do it so I got caught  The good thing is we are not having anyone for Christmas eve or day Just my husband and my adult children I have the dogs stocking stuffers and my childrens stocking stuffers but Bob and I will just have empty ones!!(my kids will put stuff in) so I guess I am a little stressed!! I will just concentrate on Bob's recovery!! Merry Christmas everyone!!! |
| From a holiday perspective, I'm totally in control. We've had our AZ celebration already, we're going to NJ tomorrow so I don't have to cook or clean anymore (yay!), everything is bought and wrapped...
But physically I'm a mess! My back and neck are killing me. I tried the chiropractor yesterday and that didn't help much, now I'm looking for an emergency massage to see if that will fix it. I just ignored the warning signs because of all of the holiday festivities, I should have taken care of it weeks ago when it was just an annoying level of pain. Now I can't sleep. |
| Oh dear, Sue. That's not good! Flying for hours is not going to help your back either. I sure hope you can get a massage appt!! |
