Please think good thoughts for Stella, in hospital

The old story of just turning your head and something happens. One day after her 1 year Birthday, Stella is in the hospital, after getting up on the counter and eating about 70 of Zaks Thyroid pills. I found her in the bathroom with the left over pills and chewed up bottle.
Luckily I rushed her to the emergency veterinary clinic and they pumped her stomach and gave charcoal, etc, but her heart rate is dangerously high and she is being monitored overnight. She was given medications for heart rate, etc, but they say it is very dangerous, since she swallowed a lethal amount of the pills.
I have unshakable faith that she will be home soon, healthy and playing with al her new birthday toys, but I must admit I am really in shock as write this. My poor little girl.

You and Stella are in my thoughts
Hi,

Oh how awful for you to have to go through this, I'm so sorry about Stella. Sending good thoughts to you and Stella. Be good to yourself too as it's easy to blame oneself for anything that happens to our furkids and uprights. Dads and moms are so good about playing the blame game and no doubt you are an excellent dad. Please keep us posted and give Stella a belly rub from me.

Marianne and the boys

The boys are sending Stella sloppy sheepie kisses. :hearts:

Poor Stella! We're pulling for you! I hope she's home soon!
THANK GOD
She's home and she is great. Her regular vet said she doesn't anticipate any long term health issues, because I was able to get her to the emergency so quickly. She is very tired, but looks great and is cuddling with zak and toys as I type.
I spent the morning rearranging counters and trust me, this won't happen again.
I appreciate all the kind wishes and thoughts... I really needed the support. It really helped receiving good wishes from people who truly understand how much these sheepie babies mean to us.
Pills on the top shelf from now on,
Mark

Oh my gosh Marc. I am catching up after being gone a few days. I am glad Stella is okay. It is so fortunate that you caught her right away and she is okay. I've been through this - I lost the sheepie I grew up with to a drug overdose at nine years old. It was really hard
Just caught this post, STELLLLLLLLLLAAAAAAAAA! Maggie thinks it is wonderful that Stella is back home safe and sound and wonders why she would eat pills - they taste yukky!!!! Glad that she is safe and that you are recovering from the shock. :clappurple:
