I need a lot of prayers, post haste!

One of my bestest highschool girlfriends is having surgery tomorrow....she went to the doctor yesterday for a persistant cough...they did x-rays and didnt find anything on her lungs...so they decided to do an echo cardiogram....they found a tumor growing in her heart.....

They admitted her immediately. She is having open heart surgery tomorrow...

Please keep Fran in your thoughts and prayers..she is truely one of the nicest people on the face of this earth..she is 39 yrs old, has a husband and 5 children...

I want her to have as many prayers as possible...I just cant lose her.

Thanks guys, never knew I could be such a mess...
Darcy, its so hard when someone we love is sick. She will absolutely be in my prayers, as will her family, and of course, you.

I'll handle the Jewish faction for you.

Please let us know how everything goes.
Hi Darcy,

So sorry to hear about your friend.

You and your friend and her family are in our prayers.

Praying for a successful surgery and recovery.

Stay strong, she needs you ..........
Darce,

so sorry to hear about your friend.. How did her surgery go? Hope she pulls through and enjoys a speedy recovery!
Sending lots of good thoughts your way!
Darcy sending love and positive thoughts and prayers for fran and a huge cuddle to you. I know how stressful it is when a good friend is going through something like this, it is just like a family member.

I lost a dear friend last week after a 8 year battle with breast cancer, it hurt just as much as if it was one of my own family members.

Stay strong for your friend and be there for support when she needs a shoulder to lean on. Keep the faith strong for your fran.

xxLisa
Poor Fran. I'm so sorry, Darcy. I hope everything comes out well.
Hi Darcy,

You're in my thoughts as is Fran. Lets all send positive thoughts her way. Sending you both a group hug. :ghug: How is she doing after the surgery have you heard anything yet?

Marianne
i just got off the phone with fran...her surgery is at 8 am tomorrow. She has a golf ball size tumor growing in her left atruim...they are going to try to do some type of scope sugery...they go in thru inbetween the breast bones ...incision is small....then a robotic hand will help thru the actual surgery...recovery time should be about 3 weeks less.....

Before having the 5th child she was an OR nurse for this specific doctor...she really likes and trusts him...so that is a positive note....

she is upbeat. Her husband just hired someone to come an extra 2 days a week to clean and do laundry...she is looking at it as a ''mini'' vacation....she said...gotta love fran.."you bet im gonna milk this...this means no hockey car pool, cooking, cleaning, etc"....so I have to call Bob around 10 am tomorrow...noon east coast time to find out...

Thanks again, oh and I told Fran that all of you guys were praying and sending well wishes....she says to tell all of you "Thanks!"
I'm sorry I didn't see this post sooner Darcy... I'll be keeping your friend, her family, and you in my thoughts. *hugs*
Prayers extended for successful surgery and complete recovery. Interesting to go between the ribs, better than cracking open the chest.

I just caught up - I hope Fran's surgery goes well today. Add my prayers to the rest, and get us an update later. Hang in there Darcy. :D
Good luck to Fran!!!! Stay calm Darcy, it sounds like she's got things under control!!!!
Darcy- Our prayers are surrounding your friend and her family and of course you! Blessings to all.
Darcy, so sorry to hear this! I'll keep Fran in my prayers.
Fran update......She went into surgery late..about 10 am...I got a phone call around 2:30 pm my time....she had just gotten into recovery...the surgery took longer than expected..6 hours...the tumor was the size of a tennis ball...not a golf ball as expected....she was in recovery and will be intubated for the next few hours....bob was obviously very very relieved as we all were too....

Thank you all for your prayers...the worst is over for the moment...we will know more tomorrow.....
I'm late posting....but glad the surgery went well.
Glad to hear it, Darcy. Let us know how things progress.
So glad to hear that fran got through the surgery, she is still in our prayers for a good diagnosis and a speedy recovery.

Hugs Darcy .
I hope it's up hill from here on and that she has a speedy recovery.
Hope you are breathing a little easier tonight, going through something like this is never easy. Still praying that all continues to go well.
8) Darcy it was great to hear your friend, Fran's surgery was a success. My prayers are with her and her family during her recovery period. She sounded so much like a nurse when she said she will look at this surgery and recovery as a mini vacation, Don't you just love nurses! (MyMom, two sisters, sil, and many family members are nurses all with the same upbeat attitude.)
That's good news, Darcy! Thanks for letting us know. Glad to hear that the surgery was successful.
Thank God for a successful step one. Now on to diagnosis and recuperation. Fran stays in my prayers. :plead:
just talked to bob....she is ICU...for some reason no matter what dose of pain meds they give her, she is in EXTREME pain...bob is a wreak...she may have to stay in ICU longer than expected....
Oh, Darcy, this is not the news we wanted to hear. We all continue to pray for her.
i promist to say mayy prayers for Fran too. I will spread the word in my prayer group as well.
I am so sorry to hear this. I will be praying for her too and her family and you as well.
