Christmas shopping, wrapping, & sent out. Anyone done?

It feels wonderful! I just hate when you spend more than you intended!

Did you ever have a Christmas when you didn't spend too much money? I never have.

I actually found a PS 3 Monday Morning on the Circuit City Web and received it in the mail. Needless to say I didn't intend on getting that but every year I have a gift from Santa for everyone in the house. Grams 86 so she does not count. The boys will take it to school with them anyhow
I haven't even started
Yes, you are right. EVERY Christmas, I spend more than I have and meant to!!!

I just don't want my parents to have 2 gifts to open or get crappy gifts, so I get more and more and more :(

I wanted to buy lil J two things ...one item I have search for ...for OVER A YEAR, but it turns out they won't ship it to Alaska :( I HATE THAT ABOUT ALASKA!!!!! I AM PISSED. So much for finding it.
I'm DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In FACT (not that I am BRAGGING or anything) my son called last night to tell me that his boxes arrived yesterday!!! Everything else is wrapped and ready to go under the tree (if we get it this weekend). I have two items I bought off ebay that haven't arrived yet but they are for Doug so I'm not worried.

My emoticons aren't dressed for Christmas
Have them ship the item to my house. My company has a Fed Ex account and I can ship it to you Fed Ex ground. I really don't mind. E-mail me if you would like me to do this and I will send you my address.
I'm about 1/2 done now. I've got almost all my shipping items bought... except the dept 56 house for my sister in law. I found a church I liked on ebay for cheap, but it sold before I had the $$ to get it :( Grr!

It's a big froggy toy box

With Fex EX, it would cost a fortune!!!!!!!!!!! :(
I looked EVERYWHERE on the net and ebay for it (again, for a year), so I was so disappointed when I went to checkout, and they said "no no no..."
It'll just have to be something I do w/o. It's what Mr. J had as a kid, so... it was just something he wanted lil J to also have. Maybe it'll be around if we move back to the lower 48 one day!
haven't started yet :D
Finished? Are you kidding? Barely started.
I haven't started yet . . .
I have been so unenthused by the holidays for the past two years now. I used to love giving and getting presents and now I could really care less and just want to spend money throughout the year for various charities and OES rescues.

I told my Dad that we wouldn't exchange gifts this year. I didn't want to end up with another $10 gift card like at my birthday  I'd rather not get anything and spend the money on myself.

Am I cheap or is it because I didn't grow up celebrating Christmas?
I'm done....been done since December 3.
Most of it is wrapped as well. I usually wrap as I buy stuff.
I hate being in the stores in December...crowded cranky people so I set a goal every year to be done by December 1. Most years I make my goal.
Done????......I just started!!! We have 46 people for a traditional sit-down Thanksgiving dinner, so I can't even think about Christmas until that event is over. Then last week, when I started shopping, I caught the flu and was out of commission for 6 days. So much for getting an extra week between Turkey Day and Xmas!

Stacy, you're not cheap! Your heart is in the right place, as you give to charities throughout the year. I have asked my relatives to donate to charities in my name, but no one wants to do that, even though that would make me happiest. It's sweet that they think of me, but I don't need A THING, and there are so many people that do. And Christmas and/or Hanukkah can become a crazy commercial frenzy if you let it, so it's good to simplify things and enjoy the little moments throughout the holiday season.
I have not even started 8O But as usual I leave everything till the last minute and wonder why I am so stressed by chrissy day :?

I always say each year I am going to get it all out of the way early, but as usual that never happens.
I'm about 1/3 ready. I'm actually still knitting presents too - got a late start this year!
Bah Humbug!!!

Marianne and the boys
okay, this story is too funny NOT to tell...a friend of mine has twin boys age 4...little cute monsters....her MIL watches the boys when Deb is at work....the MIL came up with an idea of having the boys open one gift each until Christmas day...it started the day before yesterday....

Yesterday the boys open their gifts respectively, MIL goes into the bedroom to put her make up on.....she comes back out and finds EVERY gift to EVERYONE opened...the monkeys in the middle of it, holding up sweaters and spraying purfume....

I guess the day got progressively worse....during naptime, the boys got up and clogged the toilet with a whole roll of tp and also started filling the bathtub up with potpourri and water....

I dont think I have ever laughed this hard....Deb was bummed because her MIL refused to watch them that night, which happend to be Debs birthday.....she and Jason were supposed to go out to a nice dinner....

My moral of this story is.....It obviously does NOT pay to have all of your shopping done and wrapped :D
That's hilarious!!
Haha...G'ma should know better than to have the gifts out! All my gifts...wrapped and to be wrapped are still hidden. 8) They don't get put under the tree until the 24th. This way my 4 don't ask...can I open just one PULLEEEEZE?????? :D
thank gosh my grandma sitting days are over, now I'm sitting cats and dogs, much easier :D
remind me not to be jealous of anyone, including my sil, who has twins!!!
Hey, my twins never did that!
OK, they did find presents, but they always wrapped them back up and looked surprised  .
My first sheepie girl ate a present under the tree, she sniffed out the food hamper, boy did she suffer the effects of that and so did I, I was the clean up brigade christmas morning before all the reallies arrived, then I had to explain to one of them that the dog ate it. 8O
I still wonder if they ever believed my story. :P

So tree is upstairs away from pooches and so is that evil santa sheepie, Kelsey is hoping still to get her jaws and paws on it, think that will make all her christmases come true IF she can.

I still have not started the present buying, trying to get into the swing/mood of battling the shopping crowds, wish I knew Judo or Kung Fu.
