There are lots of wonderful breeders around. It's hard to find them sometimes. If you can't find a breeder you like through OESCA, PM some of the members here and ask for their advice and recommendations. Start a list, and by the time you've got a nice list and have read lots of the stuff around here, you should know what questions to ask the breeder as you interview each other to see if there's a match. | OOOOOOOH another puppy hunter I have no advice to offer since I got both my boys the absolute WRONG way (no research no home work no KNOWLEDGE). But I am sure there are LOTS AND LOTS of words of wisdom you can get from people here. |

| To be honest I would have gotten a shelter dog instead but Craig's allergic to every breed so far except OESD and Briards. Yes, allergic to poodles and wheatons. So it had to be purebred.

| If you really, truly want a puppy, go for it! I didn't have much trouble at all findng Pip's breeder, after I got the list from Tarja. It was a joy actually, as all the people I contacted were very knowledgable and friendly! Plus, I just loved seeing the puppies first born, and following them from birth to the day I came to meet them the first time, and finally coming home day! It was a wonderful, wonderful process, and I ended up with a sweet, loving, healthy boy from fabulous, championship lines!
Although... keep in mind if you have never done the "puppy" thing before, they are a TON of work!!! |
