I feel clueless...

So as per the thread about a certain breeder. I feel like I don't have the knowledge to find a breeder. I know you all are very knowledgeable. Perhaps if someone could PM some recommendations that would be wonderful. I eventually want a boyfriend for Laika; and I want to do it right. I have come to trust you all, you know what you are talking about. Thanks a bunch.

I just noticed Ron's post about Tarja I am going to contact her
Ummmm... By boyfriend do you mean "playmate/sibling" or did you mean in the romantic :hearts: sense?
Laika is fixed.
Aha! That rules out any romance!

There are lots of wonderful breeders around. It's hard to find them sometimes. If you can't find a breeder you like through OESCA, PM some of the members here and ask for their advice and recommendations.

Start a list, and by the time you've got a nice list and have read lots of the stuff around here, you should know what questions to ask the breeder as you interview each other to see if there's a match.

Good luck, and keep us posted!
OOOOOOOH another puppy hunter   I have no advice to offer since I got both my boys the absolute WRONG way (no research no home work no KNOWLEDGE). But I am sure there are LOTS AND LOTS of words of wisdom you can get from people here.
you know the way I am starting to feel right now, I might just go get a shelter dog again, if I do.
Yesssiree bob, it's a process!

But shelter dogs are good too!
To be honest I would have gotten a shelter dog instead but Craig's allergic to every breed so far except OESD and Briards. Yes, allergic to poodles and wheatons. So it had to be purebred.

I would love to give a homeless dog or cat a home. :(
If you really, truly want a puppy, go for it! I didn't have much trouble at all findng Pip's breeder, after I got the list from Tarja. It was a joy actually, as all the people I contacted were very knowledgable and friendly! Plus, I just loved seeing the puppies first born, and following them from birth to the day I came to meet them the first time, and finally coming home day! It was a wonderful, wonderful process, and I ended up with a sweet, loving, healthy boy from fabulous, championship lines!

Although... keep in mind if you have never done the "puppy" thing before, they are a TON of work!!!
Oh, she got Laika as a puppy all right, so she knows what she's getting into!

Actually I had printed puppy pictures of Laika on my fridge when I was waiting for Barkley to be born.
I would suggest going to our own national club's website and contacting someone on there for breeder referals too....
