New to Christmas

I thought it would be fun to see some of the sheepeis reaction to Christmas, so I will start.

Dixie spent her first Christmas in a shelter, so this is her first one in a house. Her favourite spot is on our window sill, where she watches the cars etc go by the house. That spot has now been taken up by a small tree, a Santa and Christmas Bear. She was outside when we set it up, and when she came in she was not a happy camper. She kept barking and growling at the figurines...wouldn't go near them.

She sat on Don't lap and carried on about them from the couch...It was so cute, because she would give Don kisses, with her nub vibrating, then look at the window, and growl and bark...tail tight down...then turn back to Don to give kisses, and tail going...then back to telling off the bear etc.

We just let her do her thing, and now she is fine with them. She smelled them, and will lay on the floor in the general area...but it looks like she is sleeping with one eye open.. :P

She is OK with the tree, so far, but did dive for one of her balls that rolled under it so we put her balls away.

It is Bosley second Christmas, and he doesn't seem to have noticed anything different at all  But he is not the smartest cookie...

hahaha....I just LOVE Dixie :hearts: Panda has a similar reaction to our Christmas tree....it goes up in the livingroom, near the front window....she avoids the tree at all costs...if she is racing through the house, when she gets to the livingroom, she comes to a screeching halt and slides on the wood floors....barks at the tree and races in the other direction...

Last yrs photo was in front of the tree...she was soo miserable that on the card, I wrote..."Panda believes she is getting coal for Christmas"....... 8O
We put our Christmas Tree up in our Foyer off the livingroom. The dogs don't seem to care about it, but Pearl, the cat, has found a new place to hide on her way from the the garage to the Florida Room in the morning. She is so funny, I open the door, she crouches down and runs behind the tree, then she sneaks past the dogs, runs through the livingroom through the kitchen and out the doggie door into the Florida Room to wait for her breakfast. She moves pretty good for a 12 yr old cat. :D

Violet and China where more interested watching Chuck, through the front windows. while he put the outdoor lights up.

I hope everyone has a happy holiday.
Cute stories :)

Dancer likes to lick ornaments, very gently, just tasing them LOL
Sky last year was more rambunctious and almost knowcked it down bumping into it.
This will be *my* first xmas with Panda, so seeing her reaction will be interesting. I'm hoping to get the tree up tonight....
Poor Dixie! What is that bear's problem anyways???? Doesn't it know better then to sit in Dixie's spot? Poor girl!
No tree this year as I opted for outside icicle lights instead of sending Steve in the crawl space to dig out the tree. Plus, boxes for our new desk (still not put together) are in the place where the tree would sit. I need to pick my battles wisely.

Fozzie is enjoying the taste of the occasional OES card that falls from the doorway. He seems to know just how important those cards are and hasn't eaten one yet. 8)
Bailey sympathizes with Dixie. The tree in the front window takes up his favorite Neighborhood Watch spot. Somehow he manages to squeeze himself in so he can still look out the window. I fully expect to hear a big CRASH one of these days 8O
Ollie too likes the window, so softie that I am, have moved the tree so he can sit and watch the world go by
I don't think Barney even notices that there is a tree that goes up in the house or that there's anything different going on. He only notices when our Christmas guests come over so he can get extra pets.
Well after London tried to eat the fake apple the other night, we have removed all the ornaments from the tree that are breakable and the non-breakable ornaments are all on the top half of the tree. The bottom half of the tree is nekkid.
Thought I'd share a clip of Beau meeting Santa.
I laughed at him for a good 10 minutes doing this before I moved Santa into this room - thinking it wouldn't scare him if he didn't see it. Ha! When he went searching for him, I grabbed the camera.

You can see here he decided that Santa's not a bad dude.

Too funny! I love Beaus current hair do! Gorgeous!!
Great video!! I love how Beau keeps going in and out to see if Santa moved again.
:D Beau's haircut is adorable!
that is hilarious, i love how he peeks around the doorway! and tammy i love your accent!
In the beginning of the video, it looks like he pokes his neck out like a turtle. I was ROLLIN' Then when he peaked around the corner to check up on the Santa again... I watched it several times!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

beau is soooooooo adorable! I love that haircut! I wish Yuki's coat was thick and fluffy like that!
OMG.. that is so funny..poor Beau.. bad Santa.. scarying me....

PS... I love the "do" to...
I'm glad y'all enjoyed it as much as I did...silly boy...he's so funny.

Thanks for the compliments on his hair cut. I like it at this length too. :D

Heather...what accent?
(Thanks, that's very sweet of you to say! :) )
lol....beau is too funny....not only was he barking but that bum was wiggling a mile a minute....has he come to any conclusions yet re: Santa??

all the times weve chatted, I never noticed that accent of yours.... 8O
What a great bunch of posts still smiling over them and I really enjoyed the clip of Beau meeting Santa

I'll let you all know how Duch reacts to Santa and all the trimmings after she meets him LOL
This post was priceless!! Thanks so much for sharing Dixie's first Christmas adventure. I can visualize her looking out the window and then going back to kiss her dad. LOL! Her brother probably has seen it all before.

Beau's mom didn't hear the vid as don't have speakers at the moment but no matter...I was laughing my head off by his reactions!!

Thanks to you both for sharing.

Marianne and the boys
OMG that was just tooooooo funny, what a hero Beau is defending the house against that evil santa. Thanks tammy, love your accent and beau is my hero

ps His Hair trim is just gorgeous.
You can see how we handle dogs under the tree in my avatar....we surrounded the tree's base with teddy bears. The dog's don't mess with the bears......oh, I've caught a newbie sucking on a bear's foot, but that was stopped. I imagine if we had a cat, it too would sleep behind the tree amist the stuffies.

Our tree is going up slowly and already I'm getting the......."hey, that thing is in my sleeping area!"

tuff tootsies doggies.
Very funny - how come only Tammy has the accent? Beau sounds like a a "yankee"
Love the video! That's how I imagine Barkley would react too.

Love the accent too. I have family in Bahama, NC. Nothing cuter than a 3-year old girl with a southern accent saying "Yes, ma'am".
Beau is soooo brave! He wasn't going to let the "bad" santa get the best of him.

It sounds like Dixie was a brave girl too (with her daddy as backup).

I always feel so "safe" with a "brave" sheepie to protect me.

Tonight Harry almost took off running when the dishtowel fell off the oven door handle - then he decided since it wasn't running he would cautiously check it out.
This is too funny!! All these hero sheepies! Everyone knows dishtowels are infested with alien lifeforms! Maybe Santa is involved in some evil plot only sheepies know about.. ....

Oh, and Yuki's coat is just beautiful...
