NO, I don't dare. Paul loves the little breed. I'm not ready for another dog!
Thanks for the heads up, I think I know where the tv will be tonight.....unless the rodeo finals are on the same time.

I want to see the Librarian instead..........that might be on now.......gotta go!
Quincy is a gorgeous Komondor! Wow - those cords are amazing. :D

Cheering for Hagis' dad now! (I'm a little behind live time - had to pause for a phone call).
Wait a minute-- what show did I watch the other day? I thought I was up on things. That was the show I was talking about. I Tivo'd the one that's on now and didn't watch it yet. As I apparently don't know what I'm watching, that may not be Quincy. Was it Ernesto handling, VerveUp?

I'm pretty sure you're referring to the Philly Kennel Club Dog Show that aired Thanksgiving Day that was filmed when you visited Harrisburg, PA. I believe he took a G4 that day & Ernesto handled him too. He's done really well - has a lot of Group Placings plus Best In Shows.
That's exactly what I watched. James had it on and just informed me that we watched a recording yesterday-- so I am behind.

Was it Quincy tonight, too?

Yes, Ernesto is only handling one Kom right now.

Verve
:phew: I sent his owner an e-mail saying I saw him on tv in the show-- glad I didn't specify what one!

Verve, how many dogs does Ernesto show? I could've sworn I saw him about 4 times in the Thanksgiving show.

I just PM'd you about this.

Bummer for Smokin' for not getting a Group 1, although the G2 is nice. I guess it's difficult to choose an OES 3 years in a row for that slot. It would have been nice for him to take a Best In Show. I was surprised that the Dandie didn't win the Terrier Group too since he's #1 in the country. That Springer Spaniel was a very good choice for Best In Show.
Smokin was GREAT last night!!! Dumb german shepard
OK I may be thrown off the forum ....But that GSD should have one best in show hands down. She is marvelous!!! As much as I love Smokin, I do love GSD's and think Ginny deserved to get her honors in the herding group. It was a tough group to judge.I just can't believe the springer won but I am sure all the springer fans are happy!!!

I believe the Springer is #2 out of all of the show dogs in the country with the points earned talley. Personally I would have liked to see the PBGV win BIS because he had so much personality, but I guess the Springer had it over them.

Smokin' looked really good though. Hopefully he'll have a good chance at Westminster.

The GSD did look really good. All of the dogs in that group were outstanding.

SSSHHHHHH People!!!!! She finished her Championship after the entries opened so we may be very far down in the line and I don't know if we'll make it in so if we don't talk about it and jinx it we may have a shot. (The entries are sent though. Keep your fingers crossed!!!!)
Good luck Maxmm. I hope you get into showing your dog.

And didn't Smokin win the Westminster show last year? Or was that another sheepdog?
Smokin' took the breed and the herding group last year at Westminster. We like them but we're still hoping to beat the pants off of them!!!
When will you know Mandy?????
The entries close on December 8th. They don't do any processing of the entries before then.
It's a weird procedure. They take the top 5 dogs in each breed and 'invite' them, they get to send their registrations in early. Then they let any Champion dogs enter. The forms and process are very detailed and any little mistake could get your entry tossed. There's also a limit on the number of dogs they allow into the show.
People actually drive up to New York on the day that entries open to mail their entries from the closest post office. You can only submit them by U.S. Mail and only normal first class postage, no tricky mailing/shipping techniques, etc.

It was easier to get my security clearances than it was to enter this show and who's to say that we'll even get in? Plus, the entries are 75 dollars!!! If you don't get in, they don't return your money either!! Some people actually send in multiple entries for the same dog hoping that one of them gets pulled for a real entry. I'm not sure of the exact selection process, if it's by the order the entries are received or if it's luck of the draw (I keep getting this image of a giant hat filled with yellow envelopes!) but we can all just keep our little paws crossed that we get to go to New York!
CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Yes, but oh so EXCITING!!

Somebody's got to carry the bucket!
Jill, if she gets chosen I think you might just have
to beat down the competition just to be her bucket
biatch. (sorry if that offended anyone!)

Shellie
The bucket is all I have, Shellie. Would you really take that away from me?
No! I would never. Actually I wasn't talking about me
I'd love to be there just to watch, but I am a horrible
bucket holder.
