Hello from Nova Scotia Canada

Hi there. I came across this site while doing a search on OES and Sheepie Lovers!! Its great to be here

I have a 10 year old OES named Gertie. Here is a pic of her taken several months ago: Gertie. Here is another pic of her all shaved down for the summer:Gertie

Gert is a rescue. She came to us back in Jan of this year after she was seized by the cruelty inspectors and the SPCA from her previous owner. Her case is highlighted here

Gert is simply amazing and she has become a wonderful part of our family. I hope to get to know some of your furry family members as well.

Cheers

Hi, Lis!

You will find a few folks here that have relatives of Gertie's! We took Dixie into foster care in February...she was called Lil Deb at that time, and was in a boarding kennel in Frederiction. She was the last one left of the seizure. In August we officially adopted her.

Glad you found this site and thank you for giving Gertie a new lease on life!

I remember Lil Deb from a few of the OES Rescue sites. I am glad to hear she's also found a forever home and a new lease on life. We adopted Gert through the Oromocto SPCA where they had several of the dogs from the seizure. I believe Gert was in one of the first groups to be re-homed.

I look forward to hearing from some of the other people here who have given Gert's relatives new homes - they are all so special :)

Hi, and welcome from Norway :high5:
Hi!
Welcome to the from Norway
I took a new pic of Gert to share with you all: Gert

Her long hair now takes an hour to comb out each day. Good thing she is so mellow and enjoys the time spent grooming. I think its because she know's she'll get a treat after we're all done!!

Hi and Welcome!!

My boys are jumping for joy another sheepie girl has joined the forum!! They are sending Gert sloppy sheepie kisses and their mom (me) is sending belly rubs to your beautiful girl.

So glad you joined us and please feel free to ask any questions or contribute to the forums. You'll see it's such a friendly place visited by people and their furballs from all over the world.

Sigh ..can't help much concerning avatars but perhaps the more computer savy people can help.
