Tanya,

There are many OES dogs doing Therapy. You should look into Canine Good Citizens classes in your area. Your best bet would be to enroll your pup in regular Obedience class (Positive Reinforcement) first though - he will need to learn the basics first!

Hi Tanya -

Check out the pictures at the Texas Rescue site...

http://www.texasoesrescue.com

In Happy Tails section there are pictures of "Joe" at a nursing home. I just happened to be looking through all the pictures last week and thought these were amazing of Joe doing his work.

His touching work aside, Joe is such a cutie....and HUGE compared to Ben!
OMG!!Im crying like a baby here after going to that web site, and reading the story thats listed under loyalty. That is one powerful read.I am really at a loss for words...I think everyone should go read that....
I know what you mean, I always am so choked up when I go into the TX Rescue site. There are some really incredible stories of sheepies and their new families to read!

After I had read a few last week I told my husband I wanted to adopt a sheepie and he rolled his eyes towards Big Ben who was in the middle of shredding a napkin all over the family room.....guess I picked the wrong moment to bring it up?
 yeah i guess its true TIMEING is everything!!!

make a deal w/ bigben..tell him if he looks real innocent in front of daddy youll bring him a sister or brother....see if that works...if not tell him youll thow in a nice steak...
Uhhh...I was crying too after reading the TX site. Tanya, there is another group in Chicago that I ran across on the web. I don't know much about them, but I'm hoping that after Lola gets some more training, that we can work in therapy someday.
