Time to confess-WHO WENT SHOPPING today???????

Just curious as to how many die hard shopppers there are out there who braved the Black Friday crowds for that extra special bargain. I watched the news clips this morning of people at BEST BUY at 5:00 (from the comfort of my warm cozy bed) and was AMAZED!!!

I plan to do every last bit of my shopping on the INTERNET and avoid all stores from now til the end of January.

I shop online!!!!!!!!!! I did get up the same time I did yesterday though. I really had a hard time too. I forgot my keys and camera at a friend's house and have to go pick it up.

It's toooooo cold to be outside at 5 a.m.
I just had to buy a $300 car tag, plus the car payment, a trip to NO, electric payment, and insurance. We're broke - good excuse to sleep in. :) Usually, I do wake up and shop with my mom though. Not sure I would have made it out this year even if we weren't broke, because I'm not feeling well. My mom didn't feel like going either.
Not me. I'm at work and am happy here. There are major shopping areas all around here and the parking lots were jammed when I drove by around 7 am. Most stores opened at 5 AM this morning. Madness!

I would like to go to Joanne's or Michael's (craft stores) today because they have 50% off coupons for today only. But I don't feel like battling the crowds.
No, although I have gone a few times in the past. There was nothing
on the early bird flyers I needed to buy this year.
Also, I go to work at 7pm today for the start of my weekend of 12 hr shifts, so the need for sleep won out!
I went shopping today... altho here is isnt Black Friday  one store I went to you would have thought they were giving stuff away it was so crowded.....I immediatly turned around and left. I hate crowds...I am trying to finish my last minute Christmas shopping...my goal every year is to be done by December 1st. And I wrap it all as I buy the stuff and I make a list and hide the list so snooping kids wont find out what I bought. I did a lot of my shopping online.
Pretty much all that is left is to buy for the inlaws and get some gift cards for my family.
Thankfully my days of working retail are gone and I don't and won't be out htere in any form at 5 am. My brother got the duty for the family, I haven't heard how he did. He has to work from 11am to 12pm tonight at Kohls. I feel for him, but the OT will be nice for him.

Worst part is my Fiance had to cover the early opening madness for her newspaper. She claims that it isn't the worst assignment for today though. That would be going to Apple Hill for the opening of the Christmas Tree Lots.
OF COURSE I DID! What a silly question. I was out at 5 and home by 7:30. I got a lot of stuff and, if you're a serious shopper like me, you know all the secret places to park (like behind buildings and spare shipping lane parking ;)). I hit Macy's, Circuit City, Target, Kohl's and Sears. I had my lists and circulars in hand, ready to go and there was no time to shop-- you stick to the list and get out!

Normally I think Kohl's sucks but they really make home stuff worth my time the day after Thanksgiving-- it's literally the only time I ever go there. Today I got a $159 microfiber comforter for $38, a couple of home appliance things for over 60% off each and some sheets. It was well worth getting up for. Heck, I was back in bed by 7:35 and woke up at 12:30. It was like I never left. ;)
Somehow Jill, I KNEW you'd be out there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Those comforters from Kohls are great. I got one for my son several years ago and he loves it. I got even better of a deal. I bought it at an auction for about $10 - brand new and the tag still one it! YES! The $38 was still a steal though- they are very nice. I hope you are keeping it for yourself :D .
We went to Staples which just opened a few blocks away. We bought part of a desk and ordered the rest. Then we came home! We shopped one year on Black Friday and hated it. Never again will we hit the indoor and large strip malls on this day.
I think this was my 4th Black Friday all nighter. I'm really suffering right now, but Joan has her new laptop.

(Minus Joan's camera that was in my pocket and broke the LCD... $130 makes that laptop almost retail price :( )

But it came with a printer (not needed, probably won't use), internet secrutiy software (not needed, won't use) carrying case (not terrible, but we have a nice one.. maybe will use) and a wireless router (needed to use with the new lappy top!! :) and a free, believe it or not, 3.2 megapixel camera that might just be good enough to substitute for the broken one, but maybe not.)

Woo hoo!
Ron, I would never have pictured YOU as an ALL NIGHTER!!!!!!!!!!!! No wonder you have been oddly absent today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Go get some sleep!
We have to wait till the day after christmas (Boxing Day) then the huge sales start here. CAN'T WAIT woo hoo. :excited:

Lol. I'm keeping most of my purchases for myself. Ho ho ho!
I have done so in the past and this is the first year in a long time that I haven't gone. It helps that both of our sons want $ for Christmas this year instead of things.
I did some online shipping, in fact tried to get a comforter from Kohls's but kept getting told:page not available:
How can anyone shop there is FOOTBALL ON!!! Today was the BEST football day ever (this season). ...at least for my team :D

BIG BIG WIN :excited: :yay:
