Singing Christmas Songs!

Anyone going around the house singing them?

i know some radio stations play nonstop christmas carols the closer it gets, and today I caught one playing!! I sat in the car bouncing up and down singing

"dashing through the snow, ... in a one horse open sleigh...

OOOOOOOOOOOOhhhhhh, jingle bells.. jingle bells"

I love when no one is to the left or right of you in the car, so you can be as dramatic as you want (with the singing, expressions, and dancing)!

What's your favorite Christmas song?

Mine is...

let me clear my throat before i start to sing. :)

Sleigh bells ring
are you listening
in the lane
snow is glistening
A beautiful sight
we're happy tonight
walking in a winter wonderland

My favorite xmas songs.... Hmmmm.... I love Ho Ho Ho (Monty Python/Kevin Wilson), and Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer, or the newer alternative, Grandpa Got Run Over By A Beer Truck. Anything by Alvin And the Chipmunks

As for more "adult" xmas music LOL I do like some of the oldies, Burl Ives, Beatles - Simply Having a Wonderful Christmas Time, Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra etc...

I also LOVE the one by Faith Hill from the Grinch remake.
One of my favorites from when I was little was Feliz Navidad.
I also like the song "What's This?" from the movie The Nightmare Before Christmas. LOL
Really, I'm a sucker for soundtracks

I also love almost every version of Carol Of The Bells.
bought two new cd’s yesterday with Christmas songs ,
I just love Christmas
:D :D

My favourite song is and Norwegian children’s song, but the second favourite song is the song about the mother who is kissing Santa, think that is an English song :lmt:
The Dan Band does a great Christmas song that is SO NOT family friendly. It's almost a shame because it's a great piece music but such naughty lyrics!
Let's hear it for a verse or two of
"Grandma got run over by the Reindeer"

...walkin' home from our house Christmas Eve.

Foz likes to bark at me when I sing or hum. Apparently he must not like the song I've been singing..which is
"...he's gonna find out if you've been naughty or nice. Santa Claus is coming to town." Hmmm, wonder who gets a lump of coal this year :D
I love the wexford carol. My favoritew Christams album is definitely Chieftan's "Bells of Dublin". Any album with a song about how disenfranchised teenagers murder their over indulging relatives on St. Stevens day ROCKS (the song sounds horrid but is so, so funny!)
We have 77's for our juke box that plays all of the 1940's version of christmas songs...I think they sound more authentic and christmasy....but the one song that drives me batty is "christmas in Kilarney"....ewww just horrible!
I just got the new Sarah McLachlan Cd "Wintersong", its christmas songs....I'm playing them all day and in the truck too! My kids think I'm nuts as I keep telling them its too early to put up the decorations but I've been playing music for the last 2 weeks!
Sarah is my all time favorite singer!!!!!!!! Fell in love with her in 9th grade. Since then, I come close to getting people in car wrecks because I go BONKERS and start screaming when I hear her come on the radio (causing the driver to get scared to death). 8O
ROFLMAO
The cd is REALLY good. I loaded it onto itunes so I can listen while on the computer. But I think I am annoying the rest of the kids playing it over and over again...oh well the perks of being the MOM!
My favorite is Silent Night or is it O'Holy night or is that the same song???? Sorry, i am having a serious brain fart  Oh ok it is O'Holy Night, i had a version with Rebecca St. James since i was little that gets me every time

Shannon
Oh definately walking in a winter wonderland (Cause it's so darn hot here chrissy day) :?

Jingle bells
O'h Christmas tree (my evil santa sheepie sings that one)
Aussie version, 12 days of christmas
I dreaming of a white christmas, Yep another snow one instead of heat, dust and flies.

And Rudolf the red nosed reindeer. :P
I loathe and despise "Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer."

My favorite carol is "O Holy Night." Fave secular tune is "Feliz Navidad" (Jose Feliciano, of course) followed closely by "Have a Holly Jolly Christmas" (Burl Ives version).

Confession: I cry when I hear carols.
Our radio station started playing them right after Halloween. I'm tired of them already. :P

My favs are Silent Night and Away in a Manger.
It's a Marshmellow World~~~ Dean Martin

:D

:D Thanks Ron!
Blech! I'm a traditionalist, "Come All Ye Faithful" ranks rather high.

Silent Night and O Holy Night are different. Silent Night is the very simple:

Silent Night
Holy Night
All is Calm
All is Bright....etc

then O Holy Night which is also one of my favorites. This is the "fall on your knees" carol:

O holy night, the stars are brightly shining;
It is the night of the dear Savior’s birth!
Long lay the world in sin and error pining,
Till He appeared and the soul felt its worth.
A thrill of hope, the weary soul rejoices,
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn.
Fall on your knees, O hear the angel voices!
O night divine, O night when Christ was born!
O night, O holy night, O night divine!
I watched Wynona Judd sing Ava Maria on The View Thursday. All I can say is WOW!!!!!! 8O I had goosebumps. Ava Maria is one of my all time favorite songs. :hearts: She released it on her new Christmas CD titled Christmas Classics.
Hey so far no one put Little Drummer Boy as their favorite, that's always been one of mine!

O Holy Night is beautiful as is Silent Night.

I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus and Six White Boomers has to be added to my favorites list too, although only once daily is enough for those two. :D

Marianne and the boys
I have to argree with O HOLY NIGHT, WOW what a song. I saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus another great song. For all you Winter Wonderland Folks, what about I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas. Another of my favorites is I'll Be Home for Christmas, Silver Bells.........
