I have to laugh at myself.... I'm FREAKY CLEAN!
a few weeks ago, I asked a friend for her house cleaners phone number....she gave it to me and I called Leanne...we spoke for about ten - fifteen minutes...I asked her if she had any time before Thanksgiving to come over to my house and help me clean....she at first said she did, but then I guess I kept rambling on about what needed to be done and how I did it bla bla bla....she said she need to refer to her calander then call me back....well, she never did..even after i left 2 messages.. I spoke to my friend and she refused to acknowlege anything about Leanne....lol....so i guess either i have to learn to lower my expectations if i ever want a housekeeper....or i have to keep my knee pads for washing the floors and base boards...How did i end up so freaky?? |

| Yes, definitely have someone come in to evaluate your house. Once they see it is already immaculate, they'll probably do all sorts of things for you...if you're nice Remember though, they will NEVER do as good a job as if you did it yourself. |

| Okay, Darc, I don't think I'm ever inviting you to our house, as it will never pass the white glove test!!! Plus we're still in construction mode here which seems like endless dust & dirt which I am giving up the battle trying to stay on top of cleaning.
Growing up we had a saying hanging on the wall about our house. "Clean enough to be healthy, dirty enough to be happy" |
| That's why I fired my cleaning service, they didn't come anywhere near what I was expecting. I don't mind paying someone to clean my house but I do expect them to actually pick things up and dust under them. |

This is the same problem we're having. I fired one group and got another recommended woman. How difficult is it to pick the stuff up on my kitchen counters? I barely have anything on them as the dogs will eat it. They clean around it. Very irritating. Maybe they learn that in cleaning school? |

| I had an awesome cleaning lady but caught one of her crew stealing so I can't hire her ever again.
Since you aren't really a neat freak or anal  Maybe next time you can hire someone and just let them do what they do and then when they are finished you can fine tune it to your hearts desire. At least that way you will have a little bit of help and not have the entire burden on your shoulders. That's usually the times that I've hired someone when I just had too much on my plate. |

If your such a neat freak, why would you need a cleaning service. Sounds like you'd clean the house before they'd get there, just to show them you are not a messy person. Hire a person to just do the blinds. |
