Ears hair not growing

I know I have mentioned it before that the hair on Rags' ears seemed to have been growing really slow. I thought it was because of the damage that may have occured to the roots of her hair from the hair being matted so tightly before I got her. I now think the hair stopped growing or is growing even slower.

I'm totally confused

It does grow less than the rest of the body. I guess to keep them from looking like cockers?! :lol:

It always tends to grow slower there... I'm not sure why, but I think it has to do with the silkier texture of ear hair than the rest of their coat?

I guess I am just used to Pepsi and his ears grow very fast.
