So how's everyone's diet?

This is probably one of my favorite forums, but there aren't enough threads.

We should post more about what we ate every day, for those dieting. Or every day we exercise.

I just started this prenatal type vitamin. I've heard many good things about Source of Life. It's just "multi-vitamin and mineral supplement with whole food concentrates in liquid form." When I saw they had one that are safe to take while you breastfeed or pregnant, I hopped on it. I've totally noticed a gradual increase in energy level. It's wonderful! I also lost the 4 lbs I gained once Mr. J left the week I started taking it, which may not have anything to do with it, but still....

So this morning I ran for 30 minutes on the treadmill when lil J was napping. I need to get tone. I want to look HOT when Mr. J comes home in March.

Anyone else eat healthy or exercised this week/weekend?

I went off the Mediterranean diet, but have just restarted it.
It goes along well with the Sonoma diet so I plan on
also using their recipe book. Lost quite a bit of weight on
this approach last time I used it.

Took today off from exercise, but tomorrow will atttend a
Nia (dance) class. At home, I will do a yoga workout.

I am trying to mend my naughty ways  as the
scale never lies.

Last time I kept a food and exercise journal and that really helped
keep me on track.

I am storing up exercise dvds for winter . Planning to get the new
dvds by Gilad. I have found all his workouts effective for me.
As well as the snow shoveling
Diet....exercise....boy do I need some motivation to get off my butt. I have decided that Monday (having company tomorrow from the US) no matter what I have to get my big 'ole butt on that treadmill! I have all the exercise equipment I need but no will to do it. I'm just lazy I guess but if nothing else than for health reasons I need to exercise and diet.
LOL... no way I'd post what I eat on here... LOL
I have THE worst eating habits. Sometimes I'll go for days and days hardly eating a thing, not planned, I just forget, literally forget to eat.
Then, some days I'll make up for that, and eat like 6 times LOL
I get tons of exercise, I'm on my feet and on the run all day, and then in the evenings I'm out running around with the dogs for at least an hour, plus trying to do housework etc... but none of it is really an exercise routine so I don't think it does me much good. LOL
I've been told I don't look like I weigh as much as I do, people seem surprised when I tell them how much I weigh, so I guess that's a good thing... since muscle weighs more than fat. Still, I'd like to tone up more and lose 20 lbs by xmas
Yeah right!
Willowsprite, I don't believe you could lose 20lbs even if you tried. You already look great! :) That's what's great about accountability.

Today I ate two WHOLE things of toblerone w/o thinking

I felt terrible because I was good the first half of the day. Yogurt and one egg for breakfast. Tuna sammie for lunch.

Wizard, I know how hard it is to get back into a routine! That's what I'm facing. I used to tell myself, rain, snow, bad mood... I would walk over to the gym and get on for 30 min. no matter what. I didn't care if I ran or slept on it, but I would stay on for 30 minutes. What stops me now that I have a treadmill in my house is... lil J. They're scheduled around his naps, and I normally used nap 1 to shower.

Gee Zahr, you're into things I haven't heard of! You must really be into this (trying to diet)! I used to be such a hardcore healthnut. I hate that I'm not anymore. Trying to get back on track!!! DANG CHOCOLATE ADDICTION!!!!

i love yoga. I like low-intensity workouts. I can't jump around. My husband needs different things and high intensity. I am happy not going anywhere on my treadmill. :)

lol- Really try to keep it interesting, or my sweet tooth takes over
and there goes the diet plan.

Nia is a no/low impact exercise. Its fun and really gets you toned.
The routines vary so it keeps it interesting.
Here's the site--

In this link are video clips from the Global Unity dvd-

Its a bit new agey, but really a great workout.

Gilad has been around a long time, first on espn when they had
fitness shows. He is now on Fit tv. I have his QFS and many of
his older tapes. The only one I don't do is the step workout.
His new dvds are supposed to be great for toning.

The most difficult time is the Holidays for me. Temptation everywhere.
I'm thankful you started this thread, if I'm typing I'm not eating
SWEETS.

Hi Kim,

You could always kick start your exercise program with Kukuwa.

That "Move your Boombsey" concept worked for me. :D
Jo, have you tried the Carmen Electra striptease videos? They are super low impact and they get your core into great shape! They are also really fun. The first time I did the first video, I did it twice! I gave my video to my friend who moved to Idaho a week ago because I memorized it. It also would probably be some thing Mr. J wouldn't mind benefitting from.

We can start an Alaska OES shape up run once a week too!

new2sheepies, I am learning WAY too much about you considering I have seen you and your husband before. 8O I have images of you dancing now for him, and I want them OUT OF MY HEAD!!!! ;) :)

Actually Mr. J once said I should try something liek that when I said I was looking for something new to try (workout wise). He got so excited when he saw them talking about the video you're talking about on E!

Tasker's mom.. I LOVE your eating schedule. lol The 10 I lost from being sick, I GAINED back! Now I feel sad!!! I didn't care before about the christmas goodies because they were always at someone else's house... I can always be good in front of people. But, people are sending stuff to my home now! Oh my gosh... seriously. I put it ALL in the freezer. EVERY SINGLE PIECE OF IT! Will take it out slowly.
hey! I didn't say that I danced for HIM!    That is something that I still can't do! I can barely weight train in front of him! :D 8O

But, since Mr. J hasn't seen you in forever I thought of you when I was going through the DVD's! And seriously, they are really fun!

Nic :)
