My New baby
I lost my 14 year old boy Winston on October 5th. My new boy, I'll call him "D" is almost 3 years old and absolutely beautiful! My heart has returned. I feel so complete. To see D run and be filled with love and that sheepie personality ... I cant even explain how good it feels.

I don't understand though. If the original owner is looking for the dog, how should it matter? It's legally yours right? |

| Thanks, maybe some advise from all of you. Yes he is legally mine, but he is 3 years old and knows his name, is it possible to change it??? I want him to get settled in and make it easy for him. |

| Lucky's original name was Oscar and we rescued him when he was approx 4 and we changed his name obviously. It didn't take him long at all to learn it.
Change his name and give him a new lease on life. Congratulations and good luck! |

When we got Copper he came with that name and we wanted him to have a fresh name to put his abusive past behind him. But, he really knew his name. So we called him Coppertone because we thought he looked like the Coppertone dog. I wanted to give him an angel name. So he is now Copper Tony Gabriel. But Copper for short. I think because we added the new names, to me, that gave him a clean slate and fresh new start. And I also call him "son"shine. Because he lights up my life. |
