TASKER + 2 lbs STEEL CUT OATS + HUGE MESS

So last night I got home from work and discovered that Tasker, counter surfer extroidinaire, had managed to pull off the counter a brand new 2lb bag of steel cut oats. AND eat almost every last oat. What an odd thing to do I thought....but then didn't give it another thought........MISTAKE. Fed him as usual and did have a passing wonder if the oats might give him an upset stomach. BUT he seemed fine and in the busyness of the evening completely forgot about it.

WELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL, tonight I opened the door to the house and can YOU GUESS WHAT GREATED ME?????????? WALL TO WALL STEEL CUT OAT POOP Yup, barely a square inch of my dining room has not been covered witht he stuff.

A full roll od paper towel, half a bottle of rug cleaner and a good steam cleaning later the rug appears to have been saved. I am now off to spend the night at the Fire Hall (it's our shift to cover) and have deicded that no matter how cold it is tonight Tasker gets to spend the night on my sun porch (I'm rolling up the rug first).

The bright side is his cholesterol level is outstanding ! :D

We all have our ways to keep the cardiologist at bay
Yuck!
If his tummy still seems upset you could give him something before bed to hopefully prevent diarreah?
oh that is so horrible! wow. horrendous. you have my sympathy.
yucky! Sorry that happened to you and Tasker.
poor guy...I hope he doesn't give you a repeat performance.
You have my sympathy! Thank goodness for carpet shampooers. I hope Tasker's tummy is feeling better.

AAAAhahahahahahahahaha! ROFL
Those sheepie cravings for rolled oats :clappurple:
Although obviously it wasn't, I picture the poo looking like those little oatmeal bars.
Ginny,
You have my sympathies!
I hope Tasker is feeling better very quickly.
Oh noooo.. I'm holding in my laughter but you can laugh at me when Yuki does something terrible (which is pretty regular).

I really do think that's awful to have to clean up. :(

I'm glad Tasker got it all out. ty is probably happy to have the entire house to himself.
All I can say is I am so glad it was you and not me.

Yeah, oats are a good way to keep from getting constipated too!

See, Tasker was just thinking about his health.

I'm sorry you had to go thru that.

Guess that's why I don't have nice things in the house anymore. Dogs. I had to choose.........
Oh poor tasker and poor mom, well I think he has had his fibre intake for the next 6 months also. Yep and Cholesterol must be great too. 8)

Glad it is you and not me to clean up the poop attack 8O
AHHHHH I love the smell of dog oat poop in the morning!

:excited:

Okay I really don't but couldn't resist that line...maybe I'd be saying..oh the horror! the horror!

Marianne and the boys

Hope Tasker is feeling better!
I knew I could trust you all to acknowledge the seriousness of this and RUN WITH IT

Well, he did indeed survive the night without any further "inicdent". We arrived home about 5:00 AM this morning to a very unhappy puppy on the porch. But my carpet was nice and clean

Yes Jill, it did rather look like a granola bar spread out all over the floor............ not at all appetizing however.

Marianne, I was actually suprised that it really didn't smell too bad (THANK GOODNESS), I think it was about 99% oats.

I'm sure his cholesterol level is about zero right now

And, I have anice clean run, sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhh it was due for a cleaning.

I thought it was Tasker's bowels that were running with it? SORRY, I just couldn't resist. :P

Seriously, I'm so glad he's OK. Sounds like you really took it in stride.
Poor Ginny!! What an awful mess!! You have my complete sympathy.

Glad Tasker is feeling much better!!
