Fozzie Littermate Calls

Okay, Fozzie's breeders gave me a bunch of phone numbers of people who own Fozzie's littermates. A few weeks ago I left voice messages for two couples that have pups. I thought if I called the women on the list, I'd have a better chance of getting a call back. I'm bummed because neither of them called me back. They probably think I'm a crazy nut job!

I did get in touch with one very nice fireman. At first he thought I was a political candidate's representative :D The more I spoke, he realized what I was calling about. I don't blame him as I totally caught him off guard. We think he is actually the owner of the other male puppy that we were strongly considering. I can't swear to it, but he was the one that didn't pay attention to us at all and he was a BIG boy. He had a beautiful square face, but didn't seem interested. Well, apparently he has been very lively and BIG - about 85 pounds 8O His vet said he's definitely be over 100 pounds. Whew, our vet said that Foz wouldn't likely get over 100 pounds. I haven't received pictures of Zack yet :(

Yes, I did refer him here to the forum.

Why are you calling them?

Yes, I did refer him here to the forum.

 You know Ron was looking for that. ;)

I wish we could get ahold of Yuki's brother&sisters! I hope he gives you pics :)
I don't think you are crazy!! I would want to know where my pup's littermates wound up and keep in touch with them. It's a good idea, and it's always nice to know you can have someone to talk to about sheepie antics, share photos, holiday cards, and yes....get them signed up to the Forum...hehe!!

I keep in touch with lots of people who have siblings and relatives of my dogs... :)

So, you're one of those people  We got second pick of a litter of 12 so I thought it would be fun to see picture of Fozzie's brothers and sisters and to exchange stories.
No, I just wondered if you had a specific reason, like some sort of health thing. But thanks for adding me to whatever group that is.
I would just love to see pictures of Guinness' littermates, especially the little girl that we almost took (& really are sorry that we didn't! ).
At the first SheepieFest! there was a little girl that Pirate really took a liking to. They sorta looked alike. They laid down next to each other, and just sort of "grooved" on each other all day together. (Yes, I'm an old hippie). Her name is Chelsea. It was really odd behavior. They didn't play or fight...they just seemed to enjoy each others company.

Her folks and I started talking about it, and! it turns out, Pirate and Chelsea have the same dad! Its odd. They just seemed to know each other.

Its nice to stay in touch our lovies siblings.
When we had Katrina we used to have play dates with her littermate that was in Vegas too. It was so fun to see them together and they had so much fun and a kinship.

After not seeing them for a while and trying to recontact them we found out her sister died in a house fire. It was wierd after that because we had a few times that the smoke detector went off in our home while cooking or the batteries and Katrina would completely freak. Something that she had never reacted too until her sister died in the fire. Twilight zone nuh nuh nuh nuh, nuh nuh nuh nuh.

I meant the people who didn't call be back probably because they thought I was weird and didn't understand why I'd want to talk to them. Nothing personal :D
I think it's great when you can talk to the owners of littermates. You can always compare notes on everything from size to color to activities and those little quirks.

Speaking of which, where are Collen and Gucci?
Cool - I hope the other ones call you back. That is the best part about Bingley being shown. We'll be able to see at least 5 of his littermates there, too! The first one will be in December and I'm looking forward to it for this almost as much as for the showing aspect!!! :D

 DITTO
I spoke with one person once and that was it :( Also, no pictures were sent to me for comparison. Oh well...just disappointed. Most of them live in Michigan and I haven't seen them on our forum either. Guess they aren't as social as we are.
Awww. . . it is too bad that no one wanted to share stories. Have you asked the breeder whether she has received any pictures of Fozzie's littermates from their families? At least you might be able to see what they look like. And she might know of other pups with the same parentage although not necessarily from the same litter.
Hi Stacy,

I'm with ya!!! I don't think the idea is unusual either as I deperately wished I had taken photos of Merlin's siblings when I went to pick him up and always regretted it. I would also love to be in contact with the people whom adopted them as well.

Good luck in your search and you know I'd call them back, sometimes messages are accidently erased and the person may wish you'd call back. Promise me you'll try one more time. Okay? :D

Marianne and the boys
I hope the others respond. It would be interesting (and maybe heart breaking) to learn about the littermates.

Too bad Bingley won't be able to interact with his siblings......everyone has to remain in their Sunday best......no face chews. It would be interesting to see if they are attracted to each other. Of course we know Mama Upright will be there watching over her babies. That must be fun.

Aww that is sad stacy, I hope you do end up with some sort of contact there, even some pictures of siblings would of been wonderful for you.

Nothing so nice then seeing others related and how they look and how they are blooming too.

Keeping fingers crossed for you and foz.
:D I was lucky to have photos of some of Willoughby's littermates, including his brother, Higgins whom the breeder kept and who is winning ribbons! I wll post these photos when I can remember where they are on the X%&*#$@ computer!
One of Frank's brother's owners & I kept in touch for about a year but then she fell off of the face of the earth. Email not working & everything. I hope that she ends up on the forum sooner or later. It was fun seeing pictures of him Plus the breeder kept Frank's sister who produced a beautiful litter last summer.
I keep in touch with George , who is also on this forum, his Barney and my Murphy are litter mates :D
Lucky, Sam, and London would be happy to adopt cutie pie Fozzie as another brother. :D
